Slot Missions in Hogwarts

Slot missions are a great opportunity to earn equipment weapons, equipment and more. They're difficult to complete.

Concealed Weapon Slot

The concealed weapon slot is a specific slot that allows you to carry pistols into the course of. Some people use it to help them attain certain goals, particularly those who are aiming for Suit Only. Some players use the extra pistol to fill in the gap. It is important to remember that in order to choose the pistols for this slot, click on the button for the appropriate category, like machine guns in the alternate slot. Having Major Expedition and Adept Rider active makes this much simpler to accomplish. This combo also gives you damage from Concealed Weapon every 10 seconds for as long as you have it placed in.

Smuggled Item Slot

The smuggled item slot is a good feature for allowing players to bring in tools and weapons, but it could benefit from a more streamlined affordance. It's currently designed as pistols, which makes it difficult to distinguish the smuggled item slot from other slots for gear.

The smuggle slots are used to store a wide variety of items - from concussion devices and weapons grade explosives to subtle concussions. These items are hidden in locations around the map. They can also be retrieved at anytime. The items that are smuggled differ from Agency Pickups or Hidden Stashes which conceal small objects hidden in the scenery and objects.

Mission planning is an option available in the form of episodic missions. It lets players discover different starting points, smuggled objects, and gear slots before they enter the map. As players advance through challenges and unlock new Mission Mastery levels, these planning options increase. This allows players to prepare the perfect task for each challenge.

Gear Slot

The slots for gear will quickly get full early in the game, leading to the dreaded message "Your Gear Slots are Full". This message stops Max to pick new equipment until the old ones are removed or a larger space is obtained. The solution to this problem is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which provide more inventory space in exchange for the completion of challenging missions. Since a lot of these challenges can be missed and are scattered around the globe, it could take some time to obtain the most inventory slots available in the game.

Each player has up to five different kinds of gear in their five Gear themed slots. These are to be selected from the Gear Selection menu prior to breaking in. Each gear item (except for the Pistol), takes up one Gear Slot, while a grouping of similar items (such as Grenades in a grouping) can only use one Gear Slot.

Pickups by agencies

As you advance through the Mission Mastery levels you unlock different agency pickups on the map. These locations allow you to keep items that aren't suitable in your weapon or gear slot and retrieve them later.

These pickups are especially useful if you have to go through a frisk at the end of the mission, or if you are carrying a weapon that might otherwise be suspect. But, you are only able to keep one item at a time at an agency pickup location.

This DLC includes new contracts for security and asset protection to the agency. To start these missions, just talk to the receptionist of the agency and stock up on armor and snacks. Once you've reached the mission marker be sure to identify a group when you arrive.
