Slot Missions in Hogwarts

Slot missions are a great opportunity to earn equipment weapons, equipment and more. But they're also hard to complete.

Concealed Weapon Slot

The concealed weapon slot allows you to carry pistols on a mission. Some players use this to help reach certain achievements, especially those going for Suit Only. Others simply prefer to have the additional pistol to make an extra weapon to close the gap. When using this slot, you need to keep in mind that you'll need to click the appropriate pistol category button, such as the alternate slot 2 for machine guns, to select them. Having Major Expedition and Adept Rider on makes it simpler. This combo adds a damage tick every 10 seconds from the Concealed Weapon in the event that it is in the slot.

Slot for items being smuggled

The smuggled items slot a great feature that allows players to bring weapons and other tools into the game, but could be improved. It's currently designed as an a gun, which makes it difficult to distinguish the smuggled items slot from other gear legitimate slots.

The smuggle slots are used to store a wide assortment of items, from concussion devices to weapons grade explosives to subtle concussions. These items can be found in hidden locations throughout the map. They can be picked up at anytime. These items are distinct from Agency Pickups and Hidden Stashes that conceal small objects in the scenery, and objects directly.

Mission planning is an option in missions that are episodic. It allows players to unlock different starting locations, smuggled objects and gear slots before they enter the map. The options for planning increase as players progress through challenges and unlock higher Mission Mastery levels. This allows players to create the perfect mission for every challenge.

Gear Slot

In the beginning of the game, players will notice their gear slots get full, resulting in the dreaded "Your Gear Slots are full" message which prevents Max from acquiring new equipment until old items are cleared or a larger space is found. The solution to this issue is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which provide more inventory space in exchange for the completion of challenges. Because many of these challenges can be not completed and are scattered across the globe, it might take a while to reach the maximum number slots for inventory in the game.

The five Gear Slots of a player can be filled with up to 5 different types of gear. These must be selected from the Gear Selection menu before a break-in begins. Each gear item (except for the Pistol), takes up one Gear Slot, while a grouping of similar items (such as Grenades in a grouping) can only use one Gear Slot.

Agency Pickups

As you progress through Mission Mastery levels, you unlock various agency pickups throughout the map. These locations let you keep items that don't fit in your weapon or gear slot. You can get them back later.

These pick-ups can be useful in situations where your job requires you to go through a frisk or if you have a weapon on you that could cause suspicion. However, you can only conceal one item per game at an agency pickup location.

This DLC also includes new asset protection and security contracts to the agency. To start these missions, just talk to the receptionist at the agency and stock up on armor and snacks. Then, go to the mission marker and locate a mob upon arrival.
