The Combo J7+, as all Roomba models is great at taking in dirt. It was a highly intuitive system that performed during my tests. It was not able to get rid of water-based liquids such as wine or juice. Thankfully, the mopping pad can be easily washed and reused.

The camera on the front of the iRobot Combo is also very useful. It can detect dangers like power cables and pet waste, and will steer clear of them to ensure a thorough clean. This is superior to the majority of robot vacuums' cameras, as they can get stuck on things like rug tassels. The iRobot Combo ju7+ front camera has blind spots that could cause it to miss certain objects.

The iRobot Combo ju7+ is expensive, however it performs well enough to justify its cost. It has a very high customer rating, and customers appreciate its innovative features. The mops do an excellent job of cleaning tile carpets, wood, and rugs, and picking up dirt, dust and pet hair. They also have efficient obstacle avoidance, which doesn't push small and lightweight objects, like socks or toys, around the floor. It's among the best robot vacuum self emptying mopping robots we've tested. It comes with a magnet strip that can be used to block off areas that the robot will not be able reach, like rooms with lots of cables.

Unfortunately, the robot is not equipped with the other features that are expected from an item of this kind. The mops are excellent however, their maximum runtime of 60 minutes is less than we would like to have in a product with such a price tag. Also, it doesn't vacuum after a mopping session or automatically empty its charging station.

However, it's still a good choice for those who have large homes as the cleaning and mapping process are quick and efficient. The app is easy to use, and you can set up time frames for when it will be working. You can still use the remote to control it if you do not want to connect to an extremely strong WIFI connection.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision is costly but it has numerous smart functions that make up the price. Its live home monitoring feature is fantastic and also looks amazing. It's a great option for anyone with pets, young children, or anyone who wants to monitor their home even when they're away. The majority of people who own a robotic mop and vacuum are amazed at the changes their floors can make after using them frequently.

Roborock S7 Max Ultra

Roborock's latest robot mop and vacuum that self empty, the S7 Max Ultra ($1299 at Amazon), is an excellent upgrade over the already excellent S6 and S7 models. It adds a host of useful features, including more aggressive mopping and a higher-powered suction (up to 5,100Pa, compared to earlier models which had a lower power of 2,400Pa). It also has precise lidar navigation that functions as radar in 3D that is, it can identify things such as baseboards, chairs and furniture legs, and effortlessly maneuver around them. It can create customized cleaning routines that you launch by tapping the screen, for instance, an "After Meal mode" that intensively cleans and vacuums the kitchen floors.

This robot also comes with a special feature not found on most other robots: VibraRise, which raises the mopping plate when it senses carpeting so that it doesn't get the area rug wet, making mopping more efficient. It also comes with a deep-cleaning mode that mops and vacuums carpets in one go, removing more dirt and dust than mops that spin. You can also use the app to set a schedule for weekly cleaning or clean on demand.

While the S7 Max Ultra does a excellent job in its tasks but it's not without a few drawbacks. The price is the biggest. It's the most expensive robot vacuum and mop combination I've seen. Other issues aren't specific to this model but are more representative of the robotic vacuum market as a whole It's not able to handle large spills or sticky messes well.

The S7 Max Ultra can be easily set up: just plug it in, connect it to your smartphone via Wi Fi and start the cleaning process. Once you've completed that, you can customize the settings of the app, such as setting no-go zones and scheduling cleanings.

Another big bonus is its outstanding obstacle avoidance system. It only got stuck twice in tight spaces, which is a lot better than the S6 MaxV's three tries and the X1 Omni's four tries. The app allows you to mark an object as a temporary obstacle and the S7 Max Ultra ignores it when it comes to cleaning.

Narwal Freo

The Narwal Freo is one of the few robots that integrates vacuuming and mops in its design. It's also one of the less expensive combination bots we've reviewed in our review. The Freo's impressive cleaning efficiency and numerous options for customization make it a great choice for any home that requires a combination cleaner. However, the absence of advanced obstacle avoidance technology and an attractive app dampened our enthusiasm for this model.

The first step in getting the Freo running is to conduct a quick scan of your home that helps it map the space it will cover when cleaning. The process takes around one minute. Once the Freo has a better idea of where everything is it will be capable of navigating more efficiently during subsequent cleanings.

Another great feature is Freo's ability to register the room as mopping or dry vacuuming so that it can be more efficient in switching between these two functions. It's also smart enough to detect the mop pads are dirty and will automatically return to the dock for refills, then head back out to wet clean hard surfaces.

The Freo's ability to mop and vacuum carpets is a key strength. The mops pads of its twin are automatically raised when the Freo is in contact with carpet, allowing it to make use of less power and resources while still getting rid of debris. It also efficiently cleans up sand and oatmeal spills without the need for multiple vac/mop runs.

The Freo's tilted side brush is a tribute to street sweeper vehicles and does a great job in attracting and sweeping dirt particles. The Freo's sleek design and premium finish make it a stunning device. You can interact with the robot by using an LCD touchscreen on its base station, however we prefer to control it using the smartphone app.

The app has many options to modify the Freo's behavior. These include schedules for busy rooms and spot cleanings, and an option to activate a parental lock. You can also choose how long the Freo spends drying its mop pads as well as set preferences for how often it cleans its trash bin. You can even specify the maximum size of the trash bin.
