However, if you wish to change the floor levels on the map or create no-go zones you'll have to manually reset it in order to do so, which is a bit of trouble.

The IQ's app has some advanced mapping and automation capabilities but it's missing no-go zones that are available on iRobot models. Its intelligent-pathing navigational system results in greater maneuverability and its high-pile carpet mode is clean well, though it does have a tendency to get caught up on rug tassels. Additionally, its iHome speaker lets you operate the robot by voice commands.

In our tests during our tests, the IQ was adept at handling pet hair well, clearing huge amounts of hair from floors with no flooring and fair amounts on medium-pile carpet. It was less effective on shag carpets, as it was unable to reach dirt and dust that was embedded in the fibers. It was able to navigate chair legs, small spaces as well as the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. We did notice that it was a little slower on bare floors, but it regained speed and performed more thoroughly than the other robots we tested.

The IQ is a more suitable option for the majority of users than the iRobot Roomba. It has a larger dustbin and lasts longer on charge, and is capable of maneuvering itself over obstacles. It has mopping tools that are able to remove sticky messes. On the other hand the iRobot is more durable and has fewer components that require maintenance or replacement and has lower recurring costs and can even create virtual no-go zones using its companion app. It is able to continue cleaning from the point it started, even if its battery runs out before it's finished. The eufy11S did well in our tests of removing larger particles and fine dust from flooring. It was unable to thoroughly clean medium and high-pile carpets. The device is also prone to smack into furniture and other objects in its path however, it's able detect those obstacles using sensors. If it encounters them it stops and lets out a loud sound so you can manually steer it around the obstacle and get it back to work.

Another great feature of the eufy11S is its BoostIQ mode, which allows you to set the robot to automatically adjust the strength of its suction to match floor type and level of the mess. It's also easy to use the remote to direct the 11S where you want it to move.

If you don't have many furniture in the area you want to vacuum, Single Room Mode is an excellent option. The eufy can spend 30 minutes intensely cleaning the area it's assigned.

It's not quite as powerful as more expensive models, but is still ideal for deep cleaning and tackling staining.
