Anti-Hijack

It's designed to stop thieves from using keys or replacing the ECU to start your car and drive it off. Ghost connects to your CAN data network and uses the buttons in your vehicle (steering wheel, centre console and door panels) to create a unique push sequence that needs to be entered before the engine can start.

This will activate the anti-hijack feature and, once activated any attempt to start the engine will be immediately stopped. When the system determines that the vehicle has stopped moving it will honk the horn and flash the indicators. If it is unable to locate the correct code, it will also stall the engine (where possible). The Anti-Hijack feature can be removed by entering your push sequence, or by entering service mode which allows your vehicle to temporarily start and drive without needing to enter your PIN.

You can also see your vehicle in real time on a map on your smartphone, perfect to track your car while on the move.

The Ghost can be placed under the dashboard, or in the center console. It is completely hidden and tamper-proof. It does not need any additional wiring. The device is connected to the vehicle's CAN Data Network (similar to an Ethernet cable) and a personalised PIN code is programmed into it. This pin code needs to be chosen prior to the vehicle's start. This prevents thieves from bypassing the system using an unauthorized clone or replacement ECU.

If the vehicle is stolen in any way, the Ghost will enter a service mode that disables all functions unless the PIN code is entered, or you use the mobile app to disarm it. Ghost also can stop 'Relay Style Frequency Amplification'. This is the most frequent method of stealing a vehicle with a keyfob which has been duplicated or stolen through hacking. Ghost allows you to prevent this kind of theft by installing a device called Secure-A Key inside your vehicle. The device installs inside the key-fob in your vehicle and removes the battery after a few minutes of inactivity, this can be done on the majority of modern PKE key-fobs.
