It's also one of the most lightweight double buggies on the market weighing just 14lbs when folded. It's ideal for travel with a newborn and toddler because you won't be able to over-exceed airline baggage allowances. It can also be folded up into a small travel bag, making it easy to store in the back of your car.

The one-handed, Z-shape fold is easy, it's incredibly compact when you've mastered it. It can take a couple of seconds to unfold. However our tester found the auto lock to be a bit confusing. Also, since the handlebar wasn't locked to its place when you press it, it struck her legs when she used it. She also believed that the handlebar was on the short side. This is especially the case when a large changing bag hangs from it.

In contrast to other travel buggies that are lightweight it doesn't sacrifice features. It's one of the most full-featured double strollers available. It's compatible with two carry cots (available separately), offers multiple recline positions, and a UV 50+ canopy. You can also add a bassinet to one or both seats and transform this into a travel system.

The four rubber composite wheels are perfect for pavements and urban terrain however, they're not designed for off-roading. They struggled on gravel and long grass, and there isn't much space between the wheel and the bracket so mud got stuck easily. Our tester loved this buggy and was able to climb beautiful hillocks that were muddy.

2. iCandy Orange

The iCandy Orange double buggy is the ultimate in style, versatility and quality. It is an essential item for parents who want cutting edge design, quality and style that lasts. The Orange has a gorgeous light, sleek chassis with a large basket that easily fits 2 car seats. It features a gorgeous, removable canopy that is water-resistant and air-conditioned. It comes in trend-led colours - Pistachio, Fossil, Latte and Rose on the Jet Black frame. There is also the possibility of a built-in riding on the board for older siblings to take part in the fun.

This 2021 update has some changes, with improved manoeuvrability, and an even larger, better shopping basket with a re-designed bumper bar and leatherette cover. The seats are extremely comfortable and feature a moulded appearance. The seats are also adjustable and can be placed according to the needs of siblings. iCandy has introduced the first 'cinema seating' design that allows parents to keep eye contact between both children. They can also be repositioned to face either the parent or the to face the world.

It's a heavier tandem buggy, but it's extremely easy to use and steer, especially on smooth pavements. It feels stable in both single and double mode and even on sloping terrain. It's not as easy to drive on public transport, however, as it requires more than one hand to grip the handlebar. It's also large and can't be stuffed into a standard car boot without the seat attached, but this can be overcome by careful planning. iCandy has included the footmuff, changing bag and car seat adapters included in the price so this is an excellent value for new parents.

This is a tandem stroller which is extremely light. It has two non reversible seats that are suitable for infants up to about 3 years old. The rear seat can also hold the car seat.

It comes with a simple and easy-to-use folding mechanism that makes it convenient for storage and travel. It also features a spacious basket, perfect for storing everything your baby's and toddler's essentials.

The Joie Evalite Duo double buggy is an excellent option for newbies, as it is both affordable and simple to operate. It is also extremely light and makes it easier to push over long distances. It also comes with a top-quality suspension system, which ensures the smoothest ride for parents and kids.

This fashionable and practical city stroller is suitable for twins or a toddler and an infant, or even three children with the addition of UPPAbaby's ‘PiggyBack’ board (sold separately). Its sleek frame and small double buggy dimensions make it perfect for shopping malls and crowded city streets. The swivel wheels on front and four-wheel suspension allows it to navigate rough or uneven terrain.

The upper adaptors can easily slide up and down to match your height whilst the lower ones can be turned around and rotated which makes it a breeze to switch from one configuration to another. The Gazelle's seat reclines into a flat position. It also has an enormous UV 50+ sun shade that is essential for your children.

It is suitable from birth as a single pushchair, and from 4 years as double, with the addition of the CLOUD Z i-Size car seat, an additional seat unit or Gazelle Cot, this is the stroller that is future-proof that will adapt to your family. The new one-pull harness makes the process of securing your child an easy and simple process, especially when you're carrying the baby on your back!

The height-adjustable handle and rear wheel suspension guarantee the comfort of children who weigh up to 22kg. the durable pneumatic tyres are easy to clean and provide a smooth ride for running. The 360-degree swivel wheel can be locked in place to make it easier to manoeuvre around the town. The one-pedal, easy lock brake is also easy to use.

Our testers discovered that the Nipper Double is incredibly easy to navigate, even on rough terrain or when turning on a busy road. The possibility that the seats could be reclined independently was a big hit.

They also liked that the hoods could be moved forward and back and back, making them much easier to adjust to the sun or for wind protection. They didn't offer the same amount of coverage as the Baby Jogger City Mini Hoods. It's probably worth having an additional rain cover in the case.

Overall, our testers were impressed with the Nipper double's ability let them take their twin daughters Sydney and Lyla to all kinds of adventures. From seeing wildlife in the forest or rushing to a park for a playdate they were thrilled. They were also amazed by how cosy and spacious the two seats are with plenty of room for toddlers to sprawl out in. Our testers did note, however, that the absence of parent-facing seating and the inability of using car seats in the buggy was a disadvantage, and they would have liked to have more storage space for shopping and other equipment.
