The Q Revo is a great choice if you are seeking a robot mop and vacuum that's priced in the middle. It has a great mopping capability, but it lacks certain of the more advanced features that are found in its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to tackle dry oats and dust on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard flooring. It doesn't employ LIDAR however, as other models do, to identify your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, including the dirt compartment integrated into the base of charging. This robot vacuum performs well both on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It is able to take large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as other models do, and it can even pick up pet hair without much difficulty. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot says it will get better with the next models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that adopts a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a nice change from the hockey puck-like design of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with a superior filtration system which blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating within your home. We like the claim however, it's not enough to justify a premium price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to store the layout of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, and set up virtual boundary markers, so that it can recognize areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo stands out. Its vac settings are as effective as those on more expensive models and its mopping feature is better still--its spinning pads do a much better job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only drawback is the lack of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. But that's not a problem for those who want to own one of the top robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank larger than many of its competitors and takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.

In terms of the mopping device, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt from my floors. The two mopping settings that it has which are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create low noise, which means you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. It will gently hit furniture or walls and then move away if it comes across one.

What really sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and automatically transfers garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app will only inform you if something is wrong for example, the water tank being empty or a cancelled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also create and merge actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo treats your abode. This feature is beneficial when you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or when you have to frequently clear out clutter such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, picking up debris from carpets as well as hardwoods on the first pass. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that comes with all the features you can need. It comes with an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model is sleeker and more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still big. It measures over two feet in height and depth and weighs in at least four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot j7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and cleans 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when required.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that works even if you are not at home. It also has a smart routing function that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a set path.

The X2 Omni has the best robot vacuum deals mopping performance of any robot we've tested because of its rotating mop pads that remove tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent as well and it enhances suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does a thorough job. It also has a massive battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as efficient as any we've seen in the market for a consumer robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium robot vacuum and mop that comes with a range of features that you don't often see on robots of this price range. It is able to create detailed floor maps and identify different flooring types. It's also one of the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are great however, they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury and could mean it's a little more expensive than the average homeowner require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor best budget robot vacuum cleaner. It is tall and slim and has a white-colored finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture while moving around your home. In the pane in the front is a second navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which acts as an on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and transmit it to its base station. The central control panel is the circular menu which lets you select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will open up the settings menu of the app where you can modify how the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.

Its mops also perform well in removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as efficient in dealing with sand on the hard floor and the quaker oats that are on carpet.
