The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It gives a great mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

In the course of testing, it was able to take on dust and dry oats on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard floors. It doesn't employ LIDAR, however, as other models do to identify your home.

Roomba s9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and plenty of features, including a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the click of one button. You can opt for an overall clean that focuses on getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice or go for two detailed maps of your home to ensure your entire home is properly arranged.

This vacuum works well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It can remove pet hair and also suck big objects up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It does have a hard time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot claims it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common, but we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with an improved filter system that prevents tiny dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. It's a nice claim, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price price.

Its smart navigation system employs sensors that keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles like stairs and other barriers and to tidy up your entire house in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and create virtual boundary markers, so that it can recognize areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo is a standout. Its vac settings are as effective as those of more expensive models and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only drawback is the absence of a second brush for deeper cleaning. However, it's not a major issue if you want to own one of the top robots available. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than many of its competitors, and filling it up only takes two or three times, even when you have maximum dirt.

For the mopping device, I was awestruck by its ability to remove tough dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than the high-powered modes, produce very low noise, which means you can work or watch television without getting distracted. It will gently bump into furniture or walls, and then move away when it encounters one.

What really distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly autonomously with very little need for human intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically transfers physical garbage into the bin hidden in the background and also washes and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is good at nagging you only when something is in need of attention, for example, the clean water tank running low or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to alter how the Q Revo treats your abode. This is a great feature for those who have multiple rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or if there's a lot of clutter that must be cleared out frequently, like clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the top performers in my tests and best robot vacuum was able to remove debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first pass. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model is sleeker and more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still quite large. It has a height of more than two feet the height and depth and weighs in at least four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. And best robot vacuum it has a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris, making it easier to empty it when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that is functional even when you're at home. It also has a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a set path.

The X2 Omni is the top robot at mopping. Its mop pads that rotate remove tough stains and its motor generates a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent as well, and it boosts suction when it detects carpet to ensure it's doing a thorough job. It has a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping mode of the robot is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium model that comes with a variety of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It can make precise floor maps and recognize different flooring types. It's also one of the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are great but they also push the L10s into the premium category. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners want.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's tall and slim, with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper that helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage while moving around the house. Behind the pane at the front is additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's one button that basically is a switch for on and off. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, while clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The central control panel is an oblique menu that lets you select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will open the settings menu of the app where you can alter the way that the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to help you map out your home. This helps the robot mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors, and removing all but stubborn juice stains. The mops are also efficient, removing 98.4 percent of debris from our wood, tile and carpet tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
