If you're on a tight budget and don't need a stroller that doubles into a car seat carrier The Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It has a simple one-step foot brake that's flip flop user-friendly.

It's also a breeze to push and feels sturdy when navigating kerbs or woodland pathways. Additionally, it's easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation as the ultimate light-weight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, thanks to its nimble maneuverability and fold-down that fits into the overhead luggage of an aeroplane. This latest version boasts independent suspension on all four wheels made from Hytrel elastomer that allows it to perfectly navigate through all kinds of surfaces and terrain'.

The bent fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 and the 6months of colour pack come together to create a chic pushchair with a delicate elegant design. The frame's weight is less than a kilo, and is so light that you can lift it from the box using just one hand.

It's also easy to attach or remove attachments or adaptors such as the hood, for example, snaps onto the YOYO2 with reassuring clicks and is machine washable at 30deg to help deter stains from smushed rice cakes and half-dissolved carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram starting from birth using the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted into a stroller after 6 months old by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is an excellent choice for parents looking for a stroller that is versatile. The Evenflo Xplore can be transformed from a stroller into an actual wagon by flipping the handle. Parents can then select which mode is best for their adventure. The wagon can be used by two or more children from 6 months to 5 years old, and it comes with a large storage basket to accommodate everything you need on the go.

The Xplore also has two canopies that move from front to back, providing ample sun coverage for all family members. It has a smaller footwell than some wagons. This isn't suitable for long journeys or naps.

The frame of the Xplore wagon is solid and sturdy, however, it isn't able to bend as much as some other wagons that we tested. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and it isn't able to lock securely once folded. It is easy to move however, and it is able to fit through narrow 28 inches doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This basic double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents seeking an affordable second stroller for their travels. It scored high in Shop our collection of high-quality single pushchairs Strollers and Multiples Test for weight and folded dimensions, meaning it is Hauck Sport Pushchair: Lightweight Fully Reclining XL Shopping, compact when folded, and easy to lift and store in a trunk of a car. It also features a multi-position reclined seat and a cup holder for the parent. Other key features include two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling and 360-degree front wheels that absorb shock.

In our test of the push and turn it performed better than many of the other strollers of a similar price we tested, but it's still not the easiest to maneuver over uneven ground or through doorways that are narrow. Its sunshades are among the ones we tested the smallest, providing only a direct overhead coverage and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a more extensive canopy.

The Delta took us just over three minutes to put together using an average manual and no components required tools. It's missing certain features we consider essential for double strollers. These include an extra-large basket, reclining seats and adjustable leg rests.

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's latest pushchair and is marketed as a travel system for urban use. It is designed to take infants from birth until approximately 3.5 years old, easily changing between a seat and a carrycot by just only a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It comes with a light Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in car-base and a reversible baby carriage.

The seat reclines with one hand, and the big shopping basket makes it easy for parents to get their child in and out. The narrow pushchair sailed through every day bumps and doors effortlessly.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward direction or rotate. This is helpful for navigating through rough terrain. On our walk on the stony path, we let them move and it handled this fairly well, although it seemed slightly bumpier than other models on test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is most well-known for its 3-wheeled all-terrain strollers that jog. But they also make a broad range of 4-wheeler pushchairs. The City Tour 2 is one of their most popular models. It is easy to fold and can fit in the boot of a car even with an attached carrycot.

It is a bit heavier than other strollers we tested but the wheels are a rubber composite, which makes it feel well-built and durable. It is easy to maneuver over different terrains, and even with two kids with shopping bags and other items.

The carrycot and seat both have hoods that can be pulled down to reveal sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are water-resistant and durable, unlike some other prams' hoods which are turned back into toddlers faces.

It's not the biggest of storage space, but it does have a large basket that's deep enough for a changing bag and plenty of groceries. It can also be used with the Baby Jogger car seat for babies that weigh up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are available separately). If you need a stroller that can be taken on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an ideal choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first came onto the scene, it stole the hearts of parents everywhere. It's an aluminium framed stroller that will see you through your baby's early days and beyond. It comes with a variety of notable features, including the ability to flip the seat between parent and world-facing, a huge UPF 50+ canopy that has a flip out eyeshade and a spacious basket as well as an adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are durable and filled with foam which minimizes punctures and the chassis has built-in suspension that eases the pain of rough terrain. Our tester found it to be smooth to push and was able to manoeuvre it through narrow streets without difficulty.

It folds automatically and locks in just four steps. It can also be rolled and stood up for easier transport down the stairs, or in the trunk of the car. The travel system is included with the option of adding an additional car seat or carrycot using the adaptors that are included. The brakes are a single action and are color coded. They also can be used with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget single pushchair is surprisingly easy to handle and comes with excellent dual suspension, a one-hand fold, and a handy carry strap. It's also super lightweight and robust. The seat can be reclined into many positions and has a built-in double breathable mattress that is suitable for babies from birth.

The canopy/seat comes with two big sun visors, which can be fixed or removed. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn't the best since it's not as silent as Velcro, and can awaken napping babies.

The Duet is a stroller that can be used side-by-side and can be adapted to take twins or siblings (up to a maximum of 22kg per seat). It's compatible with two infant car seats and even can be used with carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be facing each other or rotate around to face the parents, theoretically decreasing sibling disputes over who gets to sit with dad and mom. It comes with a big gear tray as well as a bottle holder and snack tray. It also has a compact stand fold, and an automatic frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger that's ideal for parents who like to stay active. It's among the lightest strollers for running that you can purchase for your child. It also has great safety features, like the 5-point safety harness and wrist safety straps. It has a different type of hand brake that is different from other models, which is an interesting twist.

The seat is padded and provides a wide area to sit. However the seat's depth is less than that of other runners (it's only about 10") The storage bin is covered with a zipper to keep things safe. It can hold up to 10lbs, which is enough for the majority of diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 doesn't come with adapters that will fit the majority of bassinets and car seats for infants however, you can use them starting from the first day with adapters that fit brands like BOB, Graco Combi Evenflo Britax UPPAbaby. It is simple to fold and assemble within 5-10 minutes, without tools. The instruction manual is simple to understand and comes in a variety of languages.
