If you're looking to save money and don't require a stroller that doubles up as car seat carriers The Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It comes with a simple one-step foot brake that's flip flop comfortable.

It's also easy to push and feels sturdy when you're navigating kerbs and woodland paths. Additionally, it's easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a reputation as the most stroller that is lightweight, suitable for urban dwellers as well for jet-setters. This is due to its nimble maneuverability and fold which fits in the overhead luggage of an aeroplane. This latest version features independent suspension on all four wheels constructed of Hytrel elastomer. This allows it to perfectly traverse all terrains and types'.

The bent fabric bassinet, the base YOYO2 frame and 6+ months colour pack combine to create a sleek pushchair with a subtle elegant look. The frame itself weighs just under a kilo and is so light that you can lift it directly from the box (and do so one-handed).

The hood, for example, snaps on the YOYO2 with a reassuring manner. It is machine washable up to 30 degrees, which helps to prevent staining caused by smushed and mashed carrot puffs and rice cakes. It can be used as a pram right from birth with the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted to a stroller from 6 months old by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great option for parents who are looking for a stroller that can be used in a variety of ways. It can be converted from a stroller to wagon by simply flipping the handle, meaning parents can choose the mode they prefer for their trip. The wagon can accommodate two or more children from 6 months to 5 years, and it comes with a large storage basket to accommodate everything you require on the go.

The Xplore has dual canopies which can rotate from front to back, offering adequate sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell that's not as deep or wide as other wagons, so it might not be comfortable for long trips or napping.

The frame of the Xplore feels solid and sturdy however it doesn't have the same flexibility as other wagons we tested. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and it's not able to lock tight once folded. It is easy to move, however, and it can fit through doors with a width of 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This basic double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents seeking a budget-friendly secondary travel stroller. It scored a dazzling score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and fold size that means it's lightweight, small when collapsed and easy to lift into a trunk of a car or closet. It also offers a multi-position reclining seat and a parent cup holder. Other key features include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels as well as two large hanging storage bags.

In our push and turn test it performed better than many of the other strollers that we tried, but it's not the most maneuverable on uneven terrain or through narrow doorways. The sunshades it has were among the smallest strollers we tested. They only cover the top of the stroller and do not have peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a much larger canopy.

It took us under 3 minutes to assemble the Delta with a manual. All of the components required tools. But, it's lacking certain essential features we believe you should consider non-negotiable in a double stroller, for example, a larger basket and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's latest pushchair and is marketed as an urban travel system. It is designed to accommodate infants from birth until around 3.5 years old, and can be converted into a seat and carrycot in just a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi-Cosi capsule car seats and comes complete with the lightweight Mico 30 infant car seat, a stay-in-car base, and a reversible car.

The seat reclines with one hand, and the large shopping basket makes it easy for parents to help their child in and out. Although it is narrow, the pushchair handled the everyday bumps well and slid through doors without a hitch.

The front wheels can be locked into forward positions or allow them to swivel which helps when covering rough terrain. When we walked through the stony trail, we allowed them to swivel and it performed well although it did seem slightly bumpier than other models on test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is known for their three-wheeled, all-terrain pushchairs for jogging, but they also have a wide assortment of strollers with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most loved models. It is simple to use and folds down small enough to fit into the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.

It weighs more than other strollers that we tried, but because it has composite wheels made of rubber it feels solid and well-made. It is able to maneuver effortlessly across all types of terrain. It's also a breeze to lift, even when loaded with two children and shopping bags.

Both the seat and carrycot have hoods that are able to be lower to reveal the UV50and sun canopy extensions. They are showerproof and sturdy, unlike some other prams' hoods which are turned back into toddlers' faces.

It doesn't have a lot of storage space, but it does come with a huge basket that's large enough to fit an infant's changing bag and plenty of groceries. You can also connect it with a Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a travel system for babies up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a good choice if you want to take a stroller on the go.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first appeared on the scene, it instantly captured the hearts of parents across the world. It is an aluminium-framed stroller which can be used from the baby's first days to beyond. It's got a few distinctive features like the possibility of flipping the seat between parent and the world, a large UPF 50+ canopy with an eye shade that flips out, a spacious basket and adjustable handlebar.

The chassis has an integrated suspension system that helps reduce the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are constructed of tough foam and reduce punctures. Our test driver found it easy to push and was able to maneuver it through narrow streets with ease.

It locks automatically and folds in just four steps. It can also be rolled and raised for easier transport down the stairs, or in the trunk of the car. It also comes with a travel system equipped with the ability to add a car seat and a carrycot using the included adaptors. The brakes are a single action and are colour coded. They also are compatible with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This single pushchair that is budget-friendly is surprisingly easy to maneuver and comes with an excellent dual suspension system, one-hand fold and a convenient carry strap. It's also light and robust. The seat can be reclined into many different positions. It also comes with a double breathable mattress that's suitable for infants.

The canopy/seat comes with two extra-large fixed or flip out sun visors. Both are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn't great it's not as quiet as Velcro and could wake sleepy babies.

The Duet is a stroller with an angled design that can be used for twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It's compatible with two infant car seats and even works with some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be positioned so that they face each the other. They can also be positioned towards the parents. This will help reduce sibling disputes about who sits with dad and mom. It comes with a large gear tray, bottle holder, snack trays and the ability to change mats. It also has an automatic frame lock as well as a compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban glide 2 is the perfect jogger for parents who love to be active. It is one of the lightest strollers for running that you can purchase for your child. It also comes with excellent safety features, including a 5-point safety harness and wrist safety strap. It also comes with a twist hand brake which is distinct from the lever-type that is found on other models.

The seat is well-padded and has plenty of room to sit in, however the seat's depth is lower than other joggers that we've tested (it's approximately 10"). The storage bin has an open-top cover that can be closed to keep items secure. It can hold up to 10 lbs, which is enough for the majority of diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 doesn't come with adapters that will fit the majority of bassinets and car seats for infants, but you can use them from the first day with adapters that fit brands such as BOB, Graco Combi Evenflo Britax UPPAbaby. It's easy to fold and assemble within 5-10 minutes, without tools. The instruction manual is simple to understand and comes in a variety of languages.
