This basic double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents who want an affordable second stroller for their travels. It earned an eye-catching score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and fold size that means it's light, compact when folded and easy to lift into a car trunk or closet. It also has a multi-position reclining seat and a cup holder for the parent. Other features worth mentioning include two large hanging storage bags as well as 360-degree front wheels that are shock-absorbing.

It performed better in our push and turn test than many of the strollers we tested but is nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doors. Its sunshades are among the ones we tested the smallest, providing only direct overhead coverage and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a more extensive canopy.

The Delta took us just over 3 minutes to assemble with an average manual, and none of the components required tools. However, it is missing some essential features that we think you should consider non-negotiable in a double stroller, for example, a larger basket and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

The seat can be reclined using one hand, and the big shopping basket makes it easy for parents to get their child in and out. Although it is narrow, the pushchair handled the everyday bumps with ease and went through doorways without fuss.

The front wheels can be locked into a forward position or let them swivel which helps when covering rough terrain. When we walked along the stony path we allowed them to swivel and it did this quite well although it did seem more bumpy than the other models in our test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is best known for its 3-wheeled all-terrain, strollers for jogging. But they also make a broad range of 4-wheeler pushchairs. City Tour 2 is their most loved model. It is simple to fold and fits easily into the car's boot even with an attached carrycot.

It is heavier than the other strollers that we tried, but because it has composite wheels made of rubber, it feels sturdy and well-constructed. It is easy to maneuver over various terrains and even with two kids, a shopping bag and other things.

Both the seat and carrycot have hoods that are able to be lower to reveal a UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are showerproof and sturdy unlike other prams' hoods that are turned back into toddlers faces.

It's not a lot of storage space but it has a large basket deep enough to hold a change bag or plenty of groceries. You can also connect it with a Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a travel system for babies up to 20 lb (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you are looking for a stroller that is able to be taken on the road, the City Tour 2 is an excellent option.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was an infant stroller that captivated the hearts of a large number of parents when it first came out. It's an aluminum-framed stroller which can be used from the baby's first days to beyond. It has many standout features, like the ability of the seat to be flipped between parent and world facing and a huge UPF50+ canopy, an eye-shade that flips out, as well as an adjustable handlebar.

The canopy/seat comes with two large sun visors that can be fixed or removed. Both are UPF50+. However the toggle closure isn't perfect because it's not as quiet as Velcro and may wake napping babies.

The Duet is a stroller with an angled design that can be used by twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and works with a few carrycots. In twin mode the seats can be positioned so that they face each the other. They can also be set to face the parents. This should lessen sibling fights over who sits with dad and mom. It has a huge gear tray, bottle holder as well as snack trays and a change mat. It also has an automatic frame lock and a superior compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

It is easy to fold and assemble in just 5-10 minutes with no tools. The manual is easy to understand and includes multiple languages.
