If you're looking to save money and don't need a stroller that doubles into car seat carriers The Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It has a simple, one-step foot brake that's flip flop user-friendly.

It's also easy to push and feels sturdy in navigating kerbs or woodland pathways. It's also a breeze to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation as the most lightweight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, thanks to its super nimble manoeuvrability and fold-down that fits into aeroplane overhead luggage. The most recent version features independent suspension on all four wheels, made from Hytrel elastomer to 'perfectly navigate through all kinds of surfaces and terrain'.

The frame's base YOYO2 frame along with the curved fabric bassinet and 6+ month color pack form a stylish pushchair that is easy on the eyes with a subtle yet elegant design and stylish branding. The base frame weighs less than a kilo, and is so light that you can lift it out of the box with one hand.

The hood, for instance, snaps on the YOYO2 in a calm manner. It's also machine washable up to 30 degrees, which helps to prevent staining caused by smushed and mashed rice cakes and carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram right from birth using the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted to stroller at 6 months using the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is an excellent choice for parents who are looking for a stroller that is versatile. The Evenflo Xplore can be converted from a stroller to a wagon by simply flipping the handle. Parents can then select which one is the best fit for their needs. The wagon can hold one or two children from 6 months old to 5 years old, and it comes with a large storage basket that can accommodate all of your on-the-go needs.

The Xplore also features dual canopies that move from the front to the back, offering ample sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell that is not as large or deep as other wagons, which means it may not be suitable for long-distance excursions or for napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy however, it isn't able to bend as much as other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult to fold than many of the competition and it doesn't lock tightly when folded. It is easy to move however, and is able to fit through narrow 28 inches doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents who are looking for a second stroller that is affordable. It scored well in our Strollers and Multiples Test for its weight and folded dimensions, meaning it is lightweight, compact when folded, and easy to carry and put into a car trunk. It also comes with the option of reclining in multiple positions and a cup holder for the parent. Other features worth mentioning include two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling and 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels.

It performed better in our push and turn test than most of the strollers we tested, but was still difficult to maneuver over uneven terrain or through narrow doors. Its sunshades were among the tiniest of strollers we test. They only cover the top of the stroller and do not have peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have much larger canopy sizes.

It took us just under 3 minutes to assemble the Delta using a standard manual. All of the components required tools. It's lacking certain features we consider essential for a double stroller. They include a large basket, reclining seats, and leg rests that can be adjusted.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's latest pushchair and is marketed as an urban travel system. It is designed to take baby from birth up to approximately 3.5 years, converting easily into a seat and carrycot by just only a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It comes with a lightweight Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in car-base and reversible carriage.

The seat reclines with one hand, and the big shopping basket makes it simple for parents to help their child in and out. Despite being a small pushchair, it was able to handle the everyday bumps with ease and was able to pass through doorways without any fuss.

The front wheels can be locked into a forward position or let them swivel which is helpful when traversing rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to swivel during our walk on a stony path. It handled the situation well, though it did seem to be a bit bumpier.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is best known for its 3-wheeled, all-terrain strollers for jogging. However, they also make a broad range of 4-wheeler pushchairs. City Tour 2 is their most popular model. It is easy to use and folds small enough to fit in a car boot even with the carrycot attached.

It is heavier than the other strollers we tested, but because it comes with rubber composite wheels, it feels sturdy and well-constructed. It maneuvers expertly across different types of terrain and it's easy to carry even with two kids and a shopping bag.

Both the seat and the carrycot come with hoods that can be removed to reveal UV50+ sun canopy extension. They are strong and waterproof, unlike other prams hoods which can be blown back into toddlers' faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it does come with a huge basket that's big enough to hold a changing bag and plenty of food items. You can also use it with a Baby Jogger car seat for infants that weigh up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a ideal choice for those looking to use a stroller on the go.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that captured the hearts of many parents when it first debuted. It's a stroller made of aluminum which can be used from the infant's first days until. It's got a few distinctive features like the ability to flip the seat to be parent-facing and the world, a large UPF 50+ canopy that has an eye-shade that flips out, a spacious basket and adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are strong and filled with foam which minimizes punctures. The chassis is equipped with built-in suspension that eases the pain of rough terrain. Our test driver found it easy to push and was able to maneuver it through narrow streets without difficulty.

It locks automatically and folds in just four steps. It can also be rolled and repositioned for easy transportation down the stairs or in the car's boot. The travel system is also included with the option to add an additional car seat or carrycot using the adaptors that are included. The brakes come with one action and are colour coded. They also can be used with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget pushchair is easy to use and has a great dual suspension. It folds with one hand and comes with a convenient carrying strap. It is also lightweight and robust. The seat can be reclined into many different positions. It also has a double-breathable mattress that is suitable for infants.

The canopy/seat comes with two big sun visors that are either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. However the toggle closure isn't great - it's not as silent as Velcro and may wake napping babies.

The Duet is a stroller with an angled design that can be used for twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It can be used with two infant car seat and some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be positioned so that they face each other. They can also be positioned towards the parents. This should reduce sibling disputes over who sits with mom and dad. It comes with a huge gear tray as well as a bottle holder and snack tray. It also has an automated frame lock as well as a compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban glide 2 is the perfect jogger for parents that like to be active. It's among the lightest strollers you can purchase for your child and offers excellent safety features such as a 5-point harness and safety wrist strap. It also has an innovative twist hand brake that's different than the lever type used on rival models.

The seat is very comfortable and offers a large area to sit. However, the seat depth is less than that of other joggers (it's just about 10 inches") The storage bin is covered with a zipper to keep things secure. It can hold up to 10 lbs which is sufficient for most diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 doesn't come with adapters that will fit the majority of infant car seats and bassinets, but you can use them from the very first day with adapters that will fit brands such as BOB, Graco Combi Evenflo Britax UPPAbaby. It folds up compactly and takes 5-10 minutes to assemble without tools. The manual is easy-to-understand and is available in multiple languages.
