If you're on a tight budget and don't require a stroller that can double into car seat carriers the Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It has a simple one-step foot brake that's flip flop user-friendly.

It's also easy to push and feels sturdy when you're navigating kerbs and woodland pathways. Plus, it's a dream to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a name as the ultimate light-weight buggy for jet-setters and city dwellers alike, due to its super nimble manoeuvrability and foldable design that can be tucked away in the overhead luggage of an aeroplane. The most recent version comes with independent suspension on all four wheels made of Hytrel elastomer, allowing it to perfectly traverse all terrains and types'.

The curved fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 frame and 6months of colour pack are combined to create a sleek pushchair with a delicate elegant design. The base frame weighs less than a kilogram, and is so light that you can lift it out of the box with one hand.

The hood, for example, snaps on the YOYO2 in a calm way. It is machine washable up to 30 degrees which helps prevent stains caused by smushed carrot puffs and rice cakes. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as an infant stroller. It could also be converted to a stroller by 6 months by using the YOYO connect to additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is a great choice for parents looking for an adaptable stroller. The Evenflo Pivot Xplore can be transformed from a stroller into a wagon by simply flipping the handle. Parents can then choose which one is the best fit for their journey. The wagon can hold one or two children from 6 months to 5 years old, and it comes with a large storage basket to accommodate everything you require on the go.

The Xplore also comes with two canopies that rotate from front to back, providing ample sun coverage for all family members. It also has a footwell, which is not as deep or large as some wagons, so it may not be ideal for long trips or napping.

The frame on the Xplore feels solid and sturdy, although it does not have the same flex as some of the other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the competition, and it does not close tightly when folded. It is easy to move, though, and it is able to fit through narrow 28 inches doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This bare-bones double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents who want a budget-friendly secondary travel stroller. It scored highly in our Strollers and Multiples Test for weight and fold dimensions. This means it's lightweight and compact when folded and easy to carry and put in a trunk for your car. It also has a reclined seat that can be reclined in several positions as well as cup holders for the parent. Other key features include two large hanging storage bags and 360-degree front wheels that are shock-absorbing.

It did better in our push and turn test than a lot of the strollers we tested, but it is nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven ground or through narrow doors. Its sunshades were among the tiniest of strollers we test. They only cover the top of the stroller and don't have windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a significantly larger canopy.

It took us just under 3 minutes to assemble the Delta with a standard manual. The parts are all non-required and required tools. However, it is missing some critical features we believe you should consider non-negotiable in a double stroller like a large basket and reclining seats that have adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the latest version of Maxi-Cosi's pushchair range and is advertised as an urban travel system. It is suitable from birth to around 3.5-years-old. The carrycot and seat can be easily converted in just a few clicks. It is compatible with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It comes with a lightweight Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in car-base and a reversible baby carriage.

It's a breeze to maneuver and the one-hand recline of the seat and the huge shopping basket make it easy for parents to get their child out and in quickly. Despite being a small pushchair, it was able to handle the everyday bumps with ease and slid through doors without fuss.

The front wheels can be locked in a forward position or let them swivel which helps when covering rough terrain. When we walked along the stony path we allowed them to swivel and it did this quite well, although it seemed a little bumpier than others in our test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is most famous for its 3-wheeled, all-terrain, strollers that jog. However, they also produce a wide variety of pushchairs that have four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most loved model. It folds easily and fits in the trunk of a car even with an attached carrycot.

It weighs more than other strollers we tested, but because it comes with rubber composite wheels it feels sturdy and well-constructed. It is easy to maneuver across various terrains and even with two kids as well as a shopping bag and other things.

The seat and carrycot both have hoods that can be pulled down to reveal UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are showerproof and sturdy unlike other prams' hoods that are whipped back into toddlers faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it does have a big basket that's deep enough for a changing bag as well as plenty of food items. You can also connect it with a Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a traveling system for infants up to 20 lb (car seat and adapters sold separately). If you are looking for a stroller that can be used on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an excellent option.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that won the hearts of many parents when it first came out. It's a stroller made of aluminum that can see you through your baby's initial days and beyond. It's got a lot of standout features, including the capacity of the seat to be flipped between the parent and the world, a large UPF50+ canopy with an eye-shade that flips out, as well as an adjustable handlebar.

The chassis comes with an integrated suspension system that helps reduce the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are constructed of tough foam, which reduces punctures. Our tester found it smooth to push and was able to manoeuvre it through narrow streets with ease.

It folds down in four easy steps and locks automatically without hassle. It can also stand and be trolleyed for easier transport in the car's boot or down the stairs at home. The travel system comes offered with the option of adding an additional car seat or carrycot using the adaptors that are included. The brakes come with a single jogging stroller action and are colour coded. They also can be used with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This single pushchair that is budget-friendly is extremely easy to use and has an excellent dual suspension system, one-hand fold and a practical carry strap. It's also extremely light and durable. The seat can be reclined into many different positions. It also has a double-breathable mattress that's suitable for babies.

The canopy/seat comes with two big sun visors that are either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. However the toggle closure isn't ideal it's not as quiet as Velcro and can wake sleepy babies.

The Duet is a side-byside stroller and can be configured to accommodate twins or siblings (up to a maximum of 22kg per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seat and some carrycots. In twin mode seats, the seats can be placed so that they face each other. They can also be positioned to face the parents. This should reduce sibling disputes over who gets seated with dad and mom. It has a huge bottle holder, a gear tray as well as snack trays and an adjustable mat. It also has an automated frame lock and a superior compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2

The Thule Urban glide 2 is the ideal jogger for parents that like to be active. It is one of the lightest strollers for running that you can buy your child. The seat is well padded and provides plenty of space to sit. However, the seat depth is less than that of other runners (it's just 10 inches deep") The storage bin has a zippered cover to help keep things secure. It can hold up to 10 pounds. It is enough for the majority of diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 doesn't come with adapters to fit most infant car seats and bassinets however, you can use them from the first day with adapters that will fit brands such as BOB, Graco Combi Evenflo Britax UPPAbaby. It folds compactly and takes between 5 and 10 minutes to put together with no tools. The manual is easy-to-understand and comes in a variety of languages.
