The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a good option if you are on a budget and do not need an extra stroller that can be used as a car seat carrier. It has a flip-flop friendly one-step footbrake.

It's also easy to push and feels sturdy in navigating kerbs or woodland pathways. Plus, it's a dream to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation as the ultimate stroller that is lightweight, suitable for city dwellers as well as jet-setters. This is due to its nimble maneuverability and fold-down design that can be incorporated into the overhead baggage of an aircraft. The latest version comes with independent suspension on all four wheels made of Hytrel Elastomer, which allows it to effortlessly navigate through all kinds of surfaces and terrain'.

The curved fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 and the 6+ months colour pack combine to create a sleek pushchair with a delicate elegant look. The base frame alone weighs just under a kilo and is so light that you can lift it directly from the box (and do so one-handed).

It's also easy to add or remove attachments or adaptors such as the hood, for instance, snaps on to the YOYO2 with reassuring clicks - as well as being machine washable at 30deg to remove stains from smushed rice cakes and half-dissolved carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as an infant stroller. It can also be converted into a stroller at 6 months by using the YOYO connect other chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is an excellent choice for parents seeking a stroller that is versatile. It transforms from a stroller to wagon by simply flipping the handle, which means parents can pick the option they want to use on their adventure. The wagon can be used by one or two kids from 6 months old to 5 years, and it comes with a large storage basket that can accommodate everything you need on the go.

The Xplore also comes with two canopies that move from the front to the back, offering ample sun coverage for all family members. It has a smaller footprint than some wagons. This isn't ideal for long drives or napping.

The frame on the Xplore feels solid and sturdy but it doesn't have as much flexibility as other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the other models and it doesn't lock tightly when folded. It is easy to move, however, and can fit through narrow doors of 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This bare-bones double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents who want an affordable, second-hand travel stroller. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and fold size which means it's light, compact when folded and easy to lift into a trunk of a car or closet. It also offers an adjustable reclining seat that can be positioned in several positions as well as a parent cup holder. Other features of note include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels and two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling.

In our test of push and turn it performed better than most of the other cheap strollers we tested, but it's still not the most comfortable to maneuver on uneven ground or through doorways that are narrow. The sunshades are among the ones we tested the smallest, providing only direct overhead coverage, and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have significantly larger sunshades.

It took us just under three minutes to put together the Delta with a standard manual. None of the parts required tools. It's lacking certain features we consider essential for double strollers. They include a large basket, reclining seats, and adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's latest pushchair and is marketed as an urban travel system. It is suitable from birth until around 3.5-years-old. The seat and carrycot can be converted easily with a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi-Cosi capsule car seats, and comes with the light Mico 30 infant car seat, a stay-in-car base, and a reversible car.

It's a breeze to manoeuvre and the one-hand reclining of the seat as well as the massive shopping basket make it easy for parent-tots to get the child out and in quickly. This compact pushchair can handle all day bumps and doorways effortlessly.

The front wheels can be locked in a forward position or let them swivel which can be helpful when crossing rough terrain. We let the front wheels to rotate while walking along a stony path. It was able to handle this well, though it did seem slightly rougher.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is most well-known for its 3-wheeled all-terrain, strollers that jog. However, they also manufacture a vast variety of pushchairs that have four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most loved models. It is simple to use and folds down small enough to fit in a car boot even with the carrycot attached.

It is heavier than the other strollers that we tried, but because it has rubber composite wheels it feels sturdy and well-constructed. It is able to maneuver effortlessly across all kinds of terrain, and it's also a breeze to lift even with two children and shopping bags.

Both the seat and the carrycot come with hoods that can be removed to reveal the UV50+ sun canopy extension. They are water-resistant and durable unlike other prams' hoods that are whipped back into toddlers' faces.

It's not a lot of storage space but it has a large, deep basket to hold a changing bag or a large amount of groceries. You can also connect it with the Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a traveling system for infants up to 20 lb (car seat and adapters are sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a excellent choice if you wish to take a stroller with you on the move.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first rolled onto the scene it stole the hearts of parents everywhere. It's a stroller made of aluminum that can be used from infant's earliest days through. It has a number of stand-out features including the ability to flip the seat from parent to world-facing, a huge UPF 50+ canopy with an eye-shade that flips out, a spacious basket and adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are durable and filled with foam, which reduces the risk of punctures. The chassis is equipped with built-in suspension that eases the pain of bumpy terrain. Our tester found it to be smooth to push and was able to manoeuvre it through narrow streets with ease.

It folds in just four steps and locks automatically with no fuss. It can also be rolled and raised for easier transportation down the stairs or in the trunk of the car. The travel system comes included with the option to add an additional car seat or carrycot by using the adaptors included. The brakes are easy to use, using a single colored and flip-flop-friendly.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget single pushchair is surprisingly easy to handle and comes with an excellent dual suspension system, one-hand fold and a convenient carry strap. It's also super lightweight and sturdy. The seat can be reclined to many different positions. It also comes with a double breathable mattress built in that is suitable for infants.

The canopy/seat comes with two big sun visors that are either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. However the toggle closure isn't great it's not as quiet as Velcro and can wake sleepy babies.

The Duet is a side-by-side stroller and can be configured to take twins or siblings (up to 22kg max per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and even works with a few carrycots. In twin-mode, the seats can face each other or can be turned around to face their parents, potentially cutting down on sibling fights over who should sit with dad and mom. It comes with a large gear tray, bottle holder as well as snack trays and a change mat. It also comes with an automatic frame lock and a compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2

The Thule Urban glide 2 is the perfect stroller for parents who like to be active. It is one of the lightest strollers that you can purchase for your child. It also comes with excellent safety features, like a 5-point safety harness as well as a wrist safety straps. It has a different type of hand brake unlike other models that is an innovative twist.

The seat is comfortable and offers a large area to sit in, however the seat's depth is less than other joggers we've tried (it's about 10"). The storage bin has an open-top rated single strollers cover that can be closed to keep items secure. It can hold up to 10 lbs., which is sufficient for the majority of diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with bassinets or infant car seats as it comes, but you can use it right from the start by purchasing adapters for the majority of seats made by brands like BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It is simple to fold and assemble in 5-10 minutes without any tools. The manual is easy-to-understand and is available in multiple languages.
