The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you are looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that's mid-range. It offers a great mopping experience but lacks the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

In the course of testing, it was able to handle dust and dry oats on carpets with medium piles and pet hair on hard floors. It doesn't use LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do to locate your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and a variety of features that include a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. The robot will learn your habits for cleaning and recommend automatic schedules to give you an effortless cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once the system is setup you can begin the cleaning automatically with just one button press. You can opt for a general clean that prioritizes the removal of large debris such as rice and cereal or two detailed maps of your area to ensure your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vac performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpet with a low pile. It can remove pet hair and sucks large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It does have a hard time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot promises it will get better with future models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it to be able to hug walls and furniture. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard however we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with an advanced filtration system which blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the price cost.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers, and to clean up your whole home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and set up virtual boundaries, so it is aware of areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines mopping and robot vacuum and mop combo vacuuming. Its vac settings are just as efficient as those found on higher-end models, and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

It's only downside is the absence of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. However, it's not a big deal for those who want to own one of the best robots available. The dust tank on the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors, and filling it takes just two or three cycles, even when you have maximum dirt.

As for the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less aggressive than the higher-powered ones create little noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without interruption. It will gently bump into a wall or furniture and then move away whenever it comes across one.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely on its own, with no need for human intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash to the bin hidden from view and also cleans and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only alert you if something is wrong for example, a low clean water tank or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to a full bin.

You can also combine or create actual rooms to alter the way Q Revo handles your home. This is an excellent feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different floor materials or if there's a lot of clutter that needs to be cleared out frequently, such as clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum was also among the top performers in my test, picking up debris on both carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first attempt. It is able to even clean up spills that are wet, though I recommend cleaning them off using a clean cloth before bringing the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with self vacuum robot-cleaning bases that automatically cleans and empty mop pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also comes with a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet tall and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a larger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Finally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as a voice assistant that works offline, so you can control it even when you're away from home. It also has a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its mop pads that rotate to remove tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also excellent, and it increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It is equipped with a large rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that offers a number of convenience features not often found on robots of this price. It can make detailed floor maps and identify various flooring types. It's also one of the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are nice but they also place the L10s in the luxury category. This might make it more expensive than homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's slim and tall with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage when moving through the home. In the pane in the front is a second navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that basically is a switch for on and off. This button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will shut it off and send it to its base station. The circular menu in the middle of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will bring up the app's settings menu where you can modify how the L10s Ultra works with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to map out your house. This allows the robot to shark vacuum and mop robot and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them, which is an excellent feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability that clears 98.4% of debris from our hardwood floor test and taking out all but the most stubborn juice stain. The mops also work well, removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
