Easy to install

Fiat 500 key covers can be a great method to upgrade your keys. You can choose from a wide range of styles and colors to choose the one that best suits your style. You can install them yourself within ten minutes. All you need is an electric screwdriver and a bit of patience. The first step is to take off the cover that was originally installed. This must be removed before the new cover is installed.

After removing the old cover, you can employ a flathead to remove the four main attachment clips from the passenger side of fob assembly. These are marked with red on the picture below. Also note the tabs that locate slots shown in yellow that need to be disconnected as well.

Replace the battery with a CR2032 coin cell battery. Make sure that the "+" positive side of the battery is pointing to the opening of the fob, and that the -" negative side is facing towards the rubber buttons.

Re-attach the passenger side mirror cover by aligning the locating tabs. Once you've completed this, insert the fob for the driver side back in your vehicle and test it by pressing the push button on the front of the car key. If everything works correctly, your car should activate the parking lights and the doors will automatically lock.

Easy to remove

It is easy to replace the battery by turning the switch quarter turn with a small flathead screwsdriver.

The key fob is equipped with an internal microchip that is used to communicate with the Body Control Module (BCM). When you insert your fiat bravo key key, it presses a button inside the ignition switch that is used to remind you of the "key-inignition". The BCM will then read the transponder that is on the key fob to confirm that it's a valid key.
