The Lattissima is a Nespresso machine that takes brewing one-touch to a new level. It can brew espresso and lungo in under a minute, and accepts an array of capsules from the company.

The machine can also be programmed to create the exact amount of drinks you desire. This is a great feature for busy families.

Simple to use

This black Nespresso machine is simple in design, is easy to maintain and use. It is simple and minimalist in appearance and has a single button on the top that regulates everything from powering washing to the brewing process. Open the lid, insert a capsule in and click to start making coffee. It quickly heats up and offers a wide range of drinks, including a double espresso, or five, 8- or 18-ounce coffees. It even comes with a steaming wand, perfect for making a delicious milk texture for your drinks. While we love its simple interface and compact size, we found that it doesn't work like more expensive models in making rich tasting espresso and coffee. It's also not as easy to recycle capsules as other machines we've tested. This Nespresso was not the top choice in our side-by-side test due to these reasons.

Quick to brew

The Nespresso machine makes one cup of coffee in approximately 15 minutes. The hot water from the reservoir is introduced through a pump before it pierces small holes at the top of the coffee pod. The water is then mixed with the ground coffee and drips into the cup. We tested the machine using Jones Brothers and Bestpresso capsules and it produced an extremely rich and delicious espresso with a slight bite. We also tried whole, 2% and almond milk and found that all performed very well.

Easy to clean

It's important to clean a Nespresso machine regularly both inside and out. This keeps the machine in good working order and ensure its safety. This can also enhance the taste of your coffee. You can use a variety of cleaners to clean your Nespresso, including vinegar. It is best to employ a descaling agent in place of vinegar as it can damage the machine.

To clean your Nespresso machine, begin by getting rid of all the pods, and washing the drip tray and capsule container. Fill the sink with warm water and add a few drops dish soap. Let the drip tray or container soak for a few seconds in the soapy solution in order to dissolve any gunk or stains. Rinse them off with hot water, then use a non-abrasive sponge or cloth to scrub away any residues or stains. After scrubbing, rinse the drip tray and capsule container once more and allow them to dry completely before returning them to the machine.
