The S8+ is a great choice for those who have carpets that have a medium to high pile. Its low noise level allows you to use it while watching television, working or even talking on the phone. It's not recommended to use it for driving up or down stairs as it's not able to navigate that kind of surface. Its object avoidance isn't as effective as other Roborock models.

2. Eufy RoboVac Max 11S

For the cost, the Eufy RoboVac 11S Max is an acceptable robot vacuum for carpets. It's well-built, the dirt compartment is a good size, and the battery life is solid. The only issue with this vacuum is the amount of maintenance required. There are a lot of parts that need to be replaced and cleaned regularly. There's also no app to keep the track of when it requires emptying and charging however the remote can notify it to clean right away or at a scheduled time.

The standard suction of the vacuum is incredibly quiet, and also has a BoostIQ feature that automatically increases power when it spots dirty floors. It's not as strong as a professional floor scrubber however it does an excellent job of removing dust from carpets with a medium pile and hard floors. It's performance on carpets with high pile is less impressive. You may have to make a few extra passes to clear all the larger pieces of debris, particularly around the edges of the room.

The Wyze is very simple to setup and use. Once you connect it to Wi-Fi, you can open the app and create an account (it's free). You'll have to select a name for the robot and decide if you'd like to control it with voice. The app will then ask you whether it's interested in calibrating the sensors and create a schedule. You're now able to use it. The only minor drawback is that it's too heavy for the dock, and it's susceptible to getting stuck on the shelves' bottom and catching the charging contacts underneath which prevents it from charging.
