The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a great option if you're on a budget and do not need an extra stroller that can be used as car seat carriers. It comes with a simple one-step foot brake that's flip flop comfortable.

It's easy to push and it is solid when navigating kerbs and woodland paths. It's also a breeze to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a name as the most lightweight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, due to its nimble maneuverability and fold that fits in the overhead luggage of an aeroplane. The most recent version features independent suspension on all four wheels made of Hytrel elastomer to 'perfectly navigate across all types of surfaces and terrain'.

The YOYO2 frame base along with the curved fabric bassinet and 6+ month color pack form a stylish pushchair that's easy on the eye, with a subtle but elegant design and stylish branding. The frame's weight alone is just under a kilo and is so light that you can easily lift it out of the box (and do so one-handed).

It's also simple to add or remove adaptors or attachments - the hood, for instance, snaps onto the YOYO2 by clicking - as well as being machine washable to help deter staining from rice cakes that have been smashed and half-dissolved carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram starting from birth with the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted to a stroller after 6 months by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great choice for parents who want an adaptable stroller wagon. The Evenflo Pivot can be transformed from a stroller to the wagon by turning the handle. Parents can then choose which one is the best fit for their adventure. The wagon can be used by one or two kids from 6 months old to 5 years old, and it comes with a spacious storage basket to accommodate everything you require on the go.

The Xplore also features dual canopies that rotate from front to back, ensuring ample sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footprint than some wagons. This isn't suitable for long trips or napping.

The frame of the Xplore is solid and sturdy but it doesn't have as much flexibility as other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the competition and it doesn't close tightly when folded. It is easy to move however, and it can fit through narrow doors of 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents seeking a second stroller that is affordable. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and fold size, which means it's very lightweight, small when collapsed and easy to put into a trunk of a car or closet. It also has a multi-position reclined seat and an integrated cup holder for the parent. Other important features include two large hanging storage bags as well as 360-degree front wheels that absorb shock.

In our test of push and turn, it did better than most of the other cheap strollers we tested, but it's still not the most maneuverable on uneven terrain or through doorways that are narrow. The sunshades it has are among the ones we tested the smallest, providing only direct overhead coverage and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have much larger canopy sizes.

It took us under 3 minutes to assemble the Delta with a manual. All of the components required tools. It is missing certain features we consider essential in double strollers. This includes an extra-large basket, reclining seats and leg rests that can be adjusted.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the latest version of Maxi-Cosi's pushchair range and is billed as an urban travel system. It is suitable from birth to around 3.5-years-old. The carrycot and seat can be easily converted in just a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi-Cosi capsule car seats, and comes with the lightweight Mico 30 infant car seat, a stay-in-car base, and a reversible car.

The seat reclines with one hand, and the large shopping basket makes it easy for parents to get their child in and out. Although it is a small pushchair, it was able to handle the everyday bumps well and was able to pass through doorways without any fuss.

The front wheels can be locked in an forward position or allow them to swivel which can be helpful when crossing rough terrain. On our walk on the stony path, we allowed them to swivel and it performed well although it did seem slightly bumpier than other models that we tested.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is best known for its 3-wheeled, all-terrain strollers for jogging. However, they also produce a wide selection of pushchairs with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most popular models. It is easy to use and folds down small enough to fit into the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.

It's heavier than other strollers we tried, but because it has composite wheels made of rubber, it feels sturdy and well-made. It is easy to maneuver over various terrains and even with two kids with shopping bags and other items.

The seat and carrycot both have hoods that can be pulled down to reveal sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are durable and waterproof, unlike other hoods for prams that can be blown back onto toddlers' faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it does have a large basket deep enough to hold a change bag or a large amount of groceries. You can also connect it with the Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a travel system for babies as big as 20 lb (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you require a stroller that can be taken on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an excellent choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that won the hearts of many parents when it first debuted. It's a stroller made of aluminum that can see you through your baby's early days and beyond. It's got a few distinctive features like the ability to flip the seat to be parent-facing and world-facing, a huge UPF 50+ canopy with an eye-shade that flips out as well as a large basket and adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are strong and foam-filled which minimises punctures and the chassis has built-in suspension that takes the sting out of rough terrain. Our test driver found it easy to push and was able to manoeuvre it through tight streets with ease.

It folds in just four steps and locks automatically with no fuss. It is also able to stand and be rolled around for easier transportation in the trunk of your car or down the stairs at home. The travel system is offered with the option of adding an additional car seat or carrycot using the adaptors that are included. The brakes are only one action and are color coded. They also are compatible with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget single standing stroller pushchair is surprisingly easy to maneuver and has an excellent dual suspension system, one-hand fold and a practical carry strap. It's also extremely light and robust. The seat is reclined in many positions and comes with a built-in double breathable mattress that is suitable for babies from birth.

The canopy/seat comes with two large fixed or flip-out sun visors. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn’t ideal as it’s not as quiet as Velcro and could wake up napping babies.

The Duet is a side-byside stroller and can be configured to take twins or siblings (up to a maximum of 22kg per seat). It can be used with two infant car seat and some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be set so that they face each the other. They can also be set towards the parents. This should reduce sibling arguments about who sits with dad and mom. It comes with a huge tray for gears, a bottle holder and snack tray. It also comes with an automatic frame lock as well as a compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger that's ideal for parents who want to keep active. It is one of the lightest strollers that you can purchase for your child. It also has great safety features, such as the 5-point safety harness and wrist safety strap. It also comes with a twist hand brake that's different than the lever type that is found on other models.

The seat is well-padded and offers a large area to sit, but the seat's depth is less than other joggers we've tested (it's about 10"). The storage bin has an enclosed zipper to help keep items safe. It can hold up to 10 pounds, which is enough for most diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 doesn't come with adapters to fit most bassinets and car seats for infants, but you can use them from the very first day with adapters that will fit brands like BOB, Graco Combi Evenflo Britax UPPAbaby. It folds down compactly and takes 5-10 minutes to assemble with no tools. The user manual is easy to read and includes multiple languages.
