A compact stroller The Contours Itsy offers lots of features for its tiny size. The basket in the back of the seat is spring loaded, so you can push it down to stuff bags for diapers or backpacks into and it will then pop up to protect the contents. It also comes with an accessory tray for children and an adjustable back pad that reclines and a reclining seat back pad, which offer more options than you normally see on a stroller with a light weight.

In addition, it has a great canopy that is able to open and close to provide the level of sun protection you need, and the handlebar is height-adjustable in four positions to provide a more comfortable fit. We weren't too impressed by the ride quality over rough terrain. We felt that the wheels and suspension didn't do a great job of absorbing shocks and bumps.

The stroller is ideal for travel since it is fully assembled in the box. It takes only just a few steps to get it ready for use. The seat can be moved back and forward to adjust the recline. It's pretty flat. It's a cinch to fold and unfold due to two buttons on the frame. It also fits in the perfect carrying bag when it's not being used. It is compact and folds in one step. It can be collapsed by pressing a button. It also has a convenient, foot-activated break that is easy to create and then release.

However the handle is a bit lower than other strollers we've tested, and some parents may be uncomfortable for long durations. It does come with a handle lock to keep it in place when open, though. This is a great feature to have if you will be using the stroller on uneven or muddy terrain.

3. Munchkin Sparrow

The Munchkin Sparrow stroller is the ideal travel stroller for parents who are always in motion. This compact stroller is a breeze to fold down and up and can easily fit in overhead compartments on planes and in trunks at amusement parks (no more worrying about parking charges). It comes with a carrying bag that zips up for convenient storage. It is able to be used from birth with the infant car seat adapter, and provides a decent amount of shade with its canopy (though not as much as the Nuna TRVL or Uppababy Minu V2). The only downside is that some parents find the look to be uninspiring and cheap.

The BabyZen Yoyo+ is a bit more expensive than the other lightweight single stroller strollers however it was made specifically for luxe travel and urban living. It's one of the smallest strollers that fold (and includes a convenient carry case) and has a nice amount of storage, including the cup holder. The seat reclines to almost flat for both child and adult. This is the only stroller on our list with an adapter for car seats that can allow it to be used with a newborn. The handlebar isn't adjustable and could be a problem for some parents who are short.

The UPPAbaby Minu V2 may not be the lightest stroller, but it comes with a number of great features to make traveling with children easier. Its spacious seat reclines to a pretty flat position, and it comes with extra padding so that those airplane naps last longer. The canopy that extends can provide adequate sun protection, and the parent tray has plenty of storage. It also features a spring-loaded handle that doubles as a footrest when folded. This footrest, however seems vulnerable to damage from baggage handlers.

4. Uppababy Mini V2

Uppababy's Minu V2 is a high-end stroller that isn't compromising on quality and design. Its compact design makes it easy to maneuver through narrow streets and tight spaces and its robust construction lets it handle rough terrain without compromising the comfort of your child. The spring-action suspension in the front and back makes for a more comfortable ride, and the durable materials will endure the wear and tear of daily use. Furthermore, it can be expanded to accommodate additional accessories like an infant car seat.

In our testing, the Minu was a breeze to fold and maneuver even with a child in the hand. The squat fold, which opens into three sections is among the easiest we tested. This makes it possible to be easily tucked away in overhead compartments on planes and on public transport. It also has a single stroller-action brake with color coded that's simple to use.

The seat comes with a multi-position recline as well as a one-handed adjustable leg rest, which makes it easy to find the perfect position for your child. It is easy to maneuver, comes with plenty of storage space, and is not difficult to fold. It's not the ideal choice if you want a car seat-compatible model or a double stroller. It doesn't accept infant car seats. Your baby must be able sit up on their backs before they can use it.

This stroller is brimming with features and comes at a very affordable price. It scored higher on our maneuverability test than other models with similar specs. It's also a great choice for smooth surfaces. It has a huge parent tray, a canopy and plenty of storage. The handlebar is smaller than average and the front wheel suspension is a bit stiffer however it's comfortable for adults.

If you have twins, or two children who are different in age, you might find a side by side stroller to be the best choice to transport them. Our top pick is the Joovy Twin Groove. It is loaded with features and is small in size that allows it to fit in places that other side-by-side strollers aren't.
