1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest model in Ecovacs range of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model that is dry and wet includes the updated AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system from Ecovacs, which provides enhanced mapping and obstruction-free operation. It uses dual-laser LiDAR which is similar to what is used in self-driving cars -- and can scan up to 32 feet in 270 degrees. This results in more precise mapping, quicker response times, and better cleaning accuracy.

It also has an adjustable mopping pad made of chenille fabric, which makes it much easier to scrub difficult areas more effectively than traditional mop. In my tests the X2 Omni washed its pad in less than a second and then got to work. I noticed that it was more accurate than other models, which seemed to follow the grid of rooms. It was able to navigate the corners and edges of my rooms, and also make "Zambani patterns" across the middle of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station on a regular basis to empty the dustbin and clean the mop using hot water prior to beginning another cleaning task.

The X2 Omni is just as simple to use and set up as the other Ecovacs products. It takes only a few minutes to secure the dock into place, plug it in, and pair with your Wi-Fi network at home. Then, you can launch the app to start your first cleaning project. I was able to dig into the settings and modify my floor plan in about 15 minutes, which included creating restricted areas for mopping and sweeping and reworking my furniture placements, and more. The X2 Omni performed impressively in my tests, achieving excellent scores in the removal of pet hair and debris cleaning, as well as near-perfect results for edge and crevice cleaning.

The Deebot T10 is an excellent robot vacuum that gives impressive results. It removed more than 96% of debris from our hardwood flooring. This is a remarkable performance. It also did a fantastic job on carpet and tile cleaning up more than 99% of dirt and dust.

This robot vacuum and mop has a large docking station which offers cool water auto-cleaning for its mop pads, automatic emptying into a 3L plastic bag that is easy to replace, and hot-air drying for quick and simple maintenance. It also has a large water tank that permits frequent washing and drying between mopping runs.

Deebot T10 has a wash tray that is built into its base, similar to other mopping robots. It makes use of the wash tray to wash and dry the mop pads while using them. It doesn't have a removable tray so dirt, dust and other grime will gradually build up at the bottom.

The X2 Omni is a great option for homes with large spaces that have a mix of hard and carpet flooring. In our tests of hardwood floors and kibble, this robot performed well and picked up everything from one grain of rice to several pieces of dog food in one go. It had some trouble with rugs, but generally the vacuum cleaner is great for large rooms that have both types of flooring as well as a mixture of pets.

It's a bit expensive, but if you can afford it, it's an excellent buy for those who want to leave their home hands-free to go about other tasks or take care of chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning feature that increases suction to tackle difficult dirt or spills. It also has a battery-powered ElectroWall to set boundaries for the robot.

This budget-friendly model from a well-known brand is the cheapest we've ever tested, and provides exceptional value for money. The basic navigation system is based on a very basic random pathing algorithm, and it's not equipped to map rooms. This makes it less efficient than the other models on this list. However it's still able navigate under furniture and into corners, and its mopping mode worked very well in our testing, picking up stray pet hair and other debris effortlessly.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ might not be as well-built however, it's better at cleaning pet hair from all surfaces. It cleans floors that are bare more efficiently and does a decent job on low-pile carpet, and it makes use of smart-pathing navigational technology for superior maneuverability. It can be sent to a particular area and comes with a range of advanced automation features, including no-go zones and schedules. It can even pause and resume cleaning sessions, so it's perfect for households with pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll is able to prevent knots and holds up to 30 day's worth of dirt. It comes with angled side brushes to reach into corners and a multi-stage filter system that collects dust, allergens, and dander.

This robot vacuum feels solid and well-built. It has a smartphone app that lets you change its vacuum settings and schedule cleaning sessions ahead of time. The app allows you to view the remaining battery life of the iQ and also receive push notifications when it encounters any issues during the cleaning session. You can utilize your voice to control the device using an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant device If you don't have either of those options, you can mark zones with physical boundary strips.

The iQ is great in cleaning floors with no dirt, and does well on carpets that are sagging and low-pile. However it's not able to provide the same level autonomy as our top picks. It is also expensive and its monthly costs can increase.
