IRobot's Combo Essential is its first robot that focuses on the fundamentals of cleaning. It features a sleek design, clever features, and a highly efficient mop.

iRobot OS allows you to start cleaning, stop and schedule it directly from the app. It also provides personalized suggestions, map/obstacle-avoidance images, and offers personalized suggestions (opt-in). The Clean Base autofill dock charges the batteries, cleans the dustbin, and refills water tanks.

With cleaning supplies and powered by iRobot OS, this 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop helps customers cross two chores off their list with one device. It has intelligent navigation, three levels of powerful suction, and up to 120 minutes of battery life. With its sleek, low-profile design and Edge-Sweeping Brush, dirt can't hide around corners or under furniture.

The 4-Stage System uses an all-surface V-shaped brush, a microfiber pad that is powered by a pump and adjustable liquid settings to clean multiple floors in just one stroke. It also has 18x more suction2 and an Edge-Sweeping Brush to help eliminate dust and dirt at the edges of rooms, and under furniture. It also has iRobot Home App control, cleaning schedules and precise Clean Map reports.

Using the free iRobot app, users can choose from a variety of cleaning modes, including automatic, spot clean and mop only. They can also set start and stop times and pause cleaning. The Combo Essential also supports voice control integration with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant and allows you to start cleaning with a simple voice command.

After the Combo Essential is done cleaning, it will return to the docking station automatically and empty the dust bin into the dirt bin. Depending on how much dust the Combo has accumulated it might require regular emptying. iRobot has established itself as the market leader in the field of smart vacuums and mopping and its most recent model, the Combo J9+, builds on the previous model. The front caster wheel can be removed to clean and its socket must be cleared of tangled hair and debris every week.

The Combo j7+ is rated for use on up to 60 floors, but the number of floors you can clean per charge depends on the type of floor and frequency. The battery's lifespan is up to 90 minutes per charge and it can be recharged via the included AC adapter. The docking base's sensors as well as charging contacts should be wiped free of dirt and dust every two weeks.
