The iRobot App lets you review images captured by the Combo j7+ to determine the areas it shouldn't enter (such as lamp cords). You can also customize the map by drawing specific zones the robot should stay away from.

Vacuuming

The Combo Essential has a powerful 4-Stage Cleaning System that vacuums and mop in one sweep, grabbing dirt from hard-to-reach places such as under the couch. It uses intelligent navigation to clean from wall to wall, and to avoid falling on the stairs. Sensors help navigate between furniture. Additionally, its Clean Base Auto-Fill Dock empties debris for up to 60 days and refills the liquid for an auto-cleaning that is more durable than the competitors. It's also compatible with more cleaning products than any other 2-in-1.

The roomba combo is an effective mopper, even though it is missing some of the most advanced features that make the Roomba j7+ such an impressive sweeper and mover. It changes from mopping to sweeping when it detects the presence of a damp surface. A small robot arm lifts a little water tank/dustbin combo, and a new pad is inserted into the cleaner when you hit the button.

It was able to navigate smoothly even when the route was not entirely clear. It's not the best at avoiding obstacles, but it was able to recognize and maneuver to get around larger objects such as socks and toys that could get in its way.

The app lets you customize your schedule, design an exact cleaning route and set up Keep Out Zones or Clean Zones to tell the robot where it should go. It also displays a summary of what it has accomplished and its health status. It is also possible to pair it with Alexa, Siri or Google Assistant enabled devices for voice control. iRobot’s smart platform automatically updates Combo’s software by adding new capabilities and features.

When it's time to clean your floor your robot automatically switches to MOP mode. It also learns from previous cleaning efforts, prioritizing more dirty rooms and changing settings like suction and scrubbing intensity. The Clean Base auto-empties debris and refills the tank for 30 days of hands-free cleaning, and it's compatible with most compatible cleaning products.

Object Detection

iRobot combination robots detect and avoid objects like tables, couches, stairs, chairs, laundry hampers, pet toys and other household clutter. They also use sensors to detect carpets and rugs, and then adjust their cleaning settings in accordance with the situation, helping prevent wet messes. They also have an automatic dirt sensor which tells the robot when it is time to stop and resurface for further cleaning.

Smart Mapping allows Roomba to map your home seven times faster and name rooms so that you can start cleaning faster and more efficiently. You can also customize Keep Out Zones and Cleaning Zones. You can command your robot with voice commands or use the app when used in conjunction with Alexa Siri or Google Assistant.

Roomba is able to detect and avoid more than 80 common objects like power cords, shoes backpacks, socks, pets' toys, toilet bowls, kitty litter boxes, and other floor dangers. The iRobot Combo J7+ is also able to detect and eliminate solid pet waste using Precision Vision Navigation.

You can see the history of cleaning performed by your robot, which includes maps and images. You can choose the Dirt Detective option to prioritize cleaning the dirtiest areas first. The Roomba Combo uses Imprint Smart Mapping to map and learn your floorplan. It can then modify the map as needed. Roomba also comes with Dirt Detective, which automatically prioritises your dirtiest rooms for the most frequent vacuuming or mopping. Battery Life

The Combo j7+ is powered by an efficient lithium-ion battery that offers plenty of capabilities to clean your home. This is a minor gripe, but it would've been nice to see this included on the Combo J7+. Aside from this the Combo j7+ is easy to use and has an excellent warranty policy.
