In my tests it was able to clean the X2 Omni washed its pad in less than a second and was ready to go. I noticed that it was more accurate than other models which seemed to follow a grid around rooms. It was able navigate corners and edges of my rooms and also make "Zambani patterns" both in and out of the middle of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station frequently to empty the dust bin and clean the mop with hot water prior to beginning another cleaning task.

Turn it upside down, however, and you'll find a motorised floor brush plus one side sweeper brush which pushes dirt from the edges into the main pathway of the robot's mouth. It's smaller than the main brushes of the iRobot Roomba S9 which I found made it easier to reach under chairs and couches.

Its mapping system lets you set up no-mop areas and specific cleaning zones. It has a habit of hitting things like its charging station, and isn't great at navigating over carpets. It was good at picking up pet hair from bare floors. In our tests it picked up 89.5% kitty litter.

This budget-friendly model from a well-known new brand is the cheapest we've tested and provides an outstanding value for the money. It also uses intelligent-pathing navigational software to improve maneuverability. It also allows you to send it to a specific room, and its advanced suite of automation features include no-go zones and scheduling. It can even to pause and resume the cleaning process which is ideal for households with pets.
