The robot's auto-emptying Clean Base can store up to 60 days of debris, and it reduces the requirement for manual maintenance. It also has a recharge-and-resume feature that will send the robot to its homebase to charge when its battery gets depleted. It then picks up exactly where it was when it left.

The i5+ robotic is ideal for homes with a lot of. However, it's not meant for carpeted or stairs. It also has a limited dust bin capacity, which means it won't be able clean the entire house if you have a large amount of debris or pets. If you're seeking a Roomba that can handle more demanding environments, look into the I7 or i9 models. These robots can be used to mop wet and are better equipped for stairs. iRobot Roomba Combo i7

This model is a premium version that comes with high-end features and top-of-the-line performance that will attract customers away from the myriad of cheaper competitors. The most notable improvement is the automatic dirt disposal, which eliminates the need for a dustbin after every clean. The i7+ also features permanent mapping that lets it remember the design of your home and adapt to different floor plans instantly.

The Combo i7+ has a simple setup process, which includes an on-screen guide that guides you through the initial registration and set-up. After the robot has been registered you can access the iRobot Home app or voice commands to instruct it to mop or vacuum. The i7+ is also easy to program, allowing you to schedule cleaning sessions and set virtual boundaries for it to adhere to.

In our tests, we discovered that the i7+ was able to climb over floor breaks, and other obstacles easily. It was able to recognize furniture and other obstructions without difficulty. However, it couldn't get over a 2-inch marble slab that divides the kitchen and living room. Its edge cleaning is also better than what we saw with the budget robot vacuums. It has a strong grip around corners.

Once the i7+ reached its maximum capacity, it returns to its Clean Base and empties its contents. Then it gets ready for the next clean. When it's time to add cleaning fluid, just hit a button on the side of the robot, and a small combo water tank/dustbin clips open.

The only real downside is that the Clean Base occupies a lot of space. This makes it difficult to store the i7+ in a cupboard when it's not being used. But this is a typical problem with robot cleaners and most manufacturers provide smaller charging stations that are smaller. These stations are also usually placed under cabinets, making it easier to cover the iRobot while it is not in use. iRobot has reached out to us following publication to clarify that the Combo i7+ is designed to be used only with the manufacturer-approved cleaning solution (sold separately). It is not recommended to fill with water, as it could harm internal components and decrease the performance.

iRobot Roomba Combo i9

The navigation system is also able to adjust its cleaning route based on the different floors. If you live in a big home, the i8 might need to run several times before it's done mapping.

This robot also is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can be controlled with your voice. This is an excellent feature for busy people. This feature is extremely beneficial for those who have to clean their homes often and efficiently.

In addition to being capable of connecting to smart home devices and other smart floor Cleaner home devices, the iRobot i8 can work with the iBraava Jet M6, which will automatically start to mop after the i8 has finished vacuuming. The i8 comes with a Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System and an additional HEPA filter.

This is the latest flagship model, and it's their most efficient robot vacuum to date. It has a larger dustbin inside and can move with greater ease over rugs. It can also detect more dirt on floors of any type. The i9 is also able to recognize different rooms and alter its cleaning routine which makes it more efficient than earlier models.
