The X8 Hybrid, like many robotic vacuums has some problems with floors that are not fully covered. It may miss fur and other small objects, and tends to bump things like its charger on the charging platform. It's not as quiet and the whirring sound could be distracting as with other models.

Roborock V3S Pro

This robot isn't as feature-rich as some of the more expensive models we evaluated however, it does have all the basics. It has a large dust bin that can hold a lot of dirt prior to needing to be emptied. The vacuum and mop system is great for hard floors and carpets with low pile. It's also very quiet and we could watch TV while it was cleaning without feeling like it was blazing us with noise.

Our test participants were extremely pleased by how easy the machine was to operate and set up. They also appreciated the ability to clean all the mess from their floors. It was effective in getting rid of pet hair, messes, and carpeting, but it was more difficult in removing stubborn stains. The app was easy to use and user-friendly. They could program the vacuum to clean frequently to minimize the amount of manual work. The only drawback is that it doesn't include any mapping technology or object avoidance, so you aren't able to send it to specific rooms or follow virtual boundaries (though magnetic boundary strips can be used).

They were impressed with the ease with which it was setup and use, however they noted that its battery life was limited and it wasn't able to stay clear of some of the most stubborn problems we've encountered.
