It's easy to push, and it feels solid when you are walking along woodland paths and kerbs. Plus, it's a dream to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned its reputation as the ultimate lightweight stroller, both for city dwellers as well for jet-setters. This is due to its super nimble maneuverability and fold which fits in the overhead luggage of an aeroplane. This latest version boasts independent suspension on all four wheels made of Hytrel Elastomer, which allows it to effortlessly navigate through all kinds of surfaces and terrain'.

The frame's base YOYO2 frame along with the curved fabric bassinet and six-month color pack make a stylish and elegant pushchair that is easy to look at, with a subtle but elegant design and stylish branding. The base frame alone weighs just over a kilogram and is so light you can easily lift it from the box (and do it with one hand).

The hood, for example, snaps on the YOYO2 with a reassuring manner. It is also machine washable at 30 degrees which helps prevent stains caused by smushed rice cakes and carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as a pram. It could also be converted into a stroller after 6 months with the YOYO connect to additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great choice for parents looking for an adaptable stroller wagon. The Evenflo Xplore can be converted from a stroller into an actual wagon by flipping the handle. Parents can then decide the best mode for their journey. The wagon can accommodate one or two children from 6 months old to 5 years old, and it has a wide storage basket that can accommodate everything you require on the go.

The Xplore also features dual canopies that turn from front to back, providing ample sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell that's not as deep or large as other wagons, which means it may not be suitable for longer trips or napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon is solid and sturdy, however, it isn't able to bend as much as some other wagons we have tested. It is also more difficult to fold than many of the competitors and does not lock tightly when folded. It is easy to maneuver however, and it can be able to fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents who are looking for a secondary stroller that's priced reasonably. It scored high in our Strollers & Multiples Test for its weight and folded dimensions, which means it's lightweight and compact when folded and easy to carry and put in a trunk of a car. It also has an adjustable recline seat that can be adjusted in multiple positions and cup holders for the parent. Other key features include two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling and 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels.

It performed better in our push and turn test than a lot of the other strollers we tested, but was nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades are among the most compact we tested, with only direct overhead coverage, and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have much larger sunshades.

The Delta took us just over three minutes to assemble with an average manual and no components required tools. But, it's lacking some critical features that we think you should not compromise on for a double stroller such as an extra-large basket and reclining seats that have adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi’s newest pushchair and is marketed as a travel system for urban use. It is suitable from birth to around 3.5-years-old. The carrycot and seat can be easily converted in only a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats and comes complete with the lightweight Mico 30 infant car seat, a stay-incar base and a reversible carriage.

It's really easy to maneuver and the one-hand reclining of the seat as well as the massive shopping basket make it simple for parent-tots to get the child in and out of the seat quickly. The narrow pushchair sailed through every day bumps and doors effortlessly.

The front wheels can be locked into forward positions or allow them to swivel which can be helpful when crossing rough terrain. We let the front wheels to swivel while walking along the stony path. It was able to handle this well, though it did seem to be a bit bumpier.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is most famous for its 3-wheeled, all-terrain strollers that jog. But they also make a broad variety of pushchairs that have four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most popular models. It is simple to use and folds up small single stroller enough to fit into the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.

It weighs more than other strollers that we tested, but because it has composite wheels made of rubber it feels solid and well-made. It's a breeze to maneuver across all kinds of terrain, and it's easy to carry even with two kids and a shopping bag.

The carrycot and seat both have hoods with pull-down sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are strong and waterproof, unlike other hoods for prams, which can be blown back onto toddlers' faces.

It doesn't have a lot of storage space but it has a large basket deep enough to accommodate a changing bag or a large amount of groceries. You can also connect it with a Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a traveling system for infants up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters sold separately). If you require a stroller that can be taken on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an excellent option.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that captured the hearts of many parents when it first appeared. It's an aluminum-framed stroller that can be used from infant's first days until. It has many standout features, such as the capacity of the seat to be turned between parent and world facing and a huge UPF50+ canopy that has a flip-out eyeshade, and an adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are durable and filled with foam which minimizes punctures. The chassis is equipped with built-in suspension that eases the pain of rough terrain. It was simple to push and our tester was able manoeuvre the vehicle through narrow streets.

It folds automatically and locks in just four steps. It is also able to stand and be rolled around for easier transportation in the boot of your car or down the stairs at home. It also comes travel system equipped with the option to add a car seat or carrycot using the included adaptors. The brakes are simple to use with single action color coded and flip-flop compatible.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget single pushchair with buggy board pushchair is extremely easy to use and features excellent dual suspension, a one-hand fold, and a handy carry strap. It's also light and robust. The seat is reclined in various positions. It also comes with a built-in double-breathable mattress that can be used for babies from birth.

The canopy/seat has two extra-large fixed or flip-out sun visors, both of which are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn't ideal because it's not as quiet as Velcro and could cause sleepy babies to wake up.

The Duet is a stroller that can be used side-by-side and can be configured to accommodate twins or other siblings (up to 22kg max per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and works with a few carrycots. In twin-mode, the seats can be facing each other or turn around and face their parents, potentially decreasing sibling rivalries over who gets to sit with dad and mom. It comes with a large tray for gears as well as a bottle holder and snack trays. It also has a compact stand fold and automatic frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2

The Thule Urban glide 2 is the ideal stroller single for parents who like to be active. It's one of the lightest strollers for running that you can buy your child. It also comes with great safety features, like a 5-point safety harness and wrist safety straps. It also features a twist hand brake which is different than the lever type found on competing models.

The seat is comfortable and has plenty of room to sit in, but the seat's depth is less than other joggers we've tested (it's approximately 10"). The storage bin is secured with a zipper that keeps things secure. It can hold up to 10 lbs which is sufficient for most diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with infant car seats or bassinets as it comes, but you can use it from day one with the purchase of adapters for most seats by brands such as BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It folds compactly and takes 5-10 minutes to put together with no tools. The manual is easy-to-understand and includes multiple languages.
