Unlike some robot vacuums, this one isn't afraid to take on the stairs. Like any mop or vacuum, it is susceptible to getting blocked by debris, such as tennis shoes, thread, jewelry or other loose objects.

It also utilizes iRobot's PrevisionVision obstacle avoidance technology, which is more advanced than other models of this kind.

iRobot Combo i5

iRobot is equipped with the ability to detect household clutter, such as cords shoes, toys, and bags. It will then automatically stop and then return to dock for a recharge and complete the cleaning task at a later date. It is also voice-compatible with Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri and Google Assistant, understanding around 600 voice commands - more than any other 2-in-1 robot.

iRobot Combo j5

This robot vacuum and mop from iRobot is a good option for homes with both carpets and iRobot robot vacuum hard floors. It utilizes intelligent mapping and avoids obstacles to efficiently clean. It has a variety of mopping options, including the SmartScrub system to remove tough staining. It also allows you to set No Mop Zones so that carpets aren't sucked up. The dock refills the mopping fluid in a timely manner. This model is more expensive than the earlier Roomba Combo j7+, however it has more features.

It does, however, have a powerful vacuum system and rubber brushes that don't get tangled with pet hair. It's also a good option for homes with high-pile carpet because it is able to handle the more dirt and debris better than other vacuums. The I4 is also less demanding in terms of maintenance requirements, and has lower cost of maintenance and has a longer runtime in its least powerful suction mode than the i7.
