This allows it to avoid obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers, and to clean up your entire home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as set up virtual boundary markers, so it knows to avoid areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as good as those found on more expensive models. And its mopping system is better because its spinning pads scrub floors better than an ordinary pad that vibrates.

The app is good at nagging you only when something requires attention, for example, the water tank being empty or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled because of a full dust bin.

You can also combine or create actual rooms to personalize the way Q Revo handles your home. That's a handy feature if you have multiple areas of your home with different flooring materials or if there's a lot of items that need to be cleaned out regularly, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from carpets as well as hardwoods in its first run. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that can be used even when you're not at home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni is the most effective robot for mopping. Its rotating mop pads clean tough stains and its motor produces a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a large battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as any we've seen in the market for a consumer robot.

It can make precise floor maps and recognize different types of flooring. It's also among the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are useful however, they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury and could mean it's a little more expensive than some homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance that clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our hard-floor test and taking out all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops also do a great job and remove 98.4 percent of the debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from the hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
