The main selling point of Eufy's this machine is its laser navigation. The X8 utilizes the laser mapping system, which is more accurate than previous Eufy devices. It takes less time to build a comprehensive map of your home and can store multiple maps. This is ideal for multi-floored homes.

The X8 is still a decent vacuum on floors with no dust that can carry debris under its side brushes and into the 400ml dust bin with ease. The tyres are adept at securing edges and corners even though they are circular. Our tests showed that it could only remove 90 percent of the fur on hard floors.

The basic mopping mode uses the same reservoir of water as the vacuuming mode. While this is good for spills that aren't too big, you can't limit the amount of water it consumes, which will limit its effectiveness when dealing with more serious stains. It is effective in removing pet hair. It has a higher percentage of hair removal than the Roborock S7.

3. Miele RX2

Miele's RX2 robotic vacuum is renowned for its quiet, effective appliances. It has a beautiful design, superb navigation and a powerful cleaning power. However, it has a few operational oddities that keep it from ranking as the top overall smart robot vacuum.

And its sweeping and suction power are top of the line cleaning up surface debris from medium-pile carpeting and embedded dust on floors that are unfinished. It's not the fastest robotics available. It's not the best climber, and it has problems with transition strips made of metal.

We love the 980 because it uses its iAdapt2.0 navigation sensors and visual simultaneity localisation and mapping (or vSLAM) to remember the floor plan of your home. It will use this data to create a consistent, efficient cleaning path in every cycle. The result is cleaner floors and a more efficient robot vacuum than many high-end robotics.

The 980's other features include dual multi-surface rubber brushes, which grab dirt from carpets and hard floors, along with a spinning brush that sweeps debris into the robotic vacuum's bin. Its floor tracking sensors aid it navigate across furniture and along edges, and Cliff Detect helps to prevent the Roomba from slipping down stairs. It will also return to the base station for simple charging between sessions. Although the 980's battery lifespan and bin size aren't as efficient as other robot vacuums it's a sturdy and reliable machine that can keep your floors spotless for hours on end.
