The Q Revo is a good option for those looking for an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It's got a fantastic mopping capability, but it lacks certain of the more advanced features that are found in its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to handle dust and dry oats on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard flooring. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to map out your home.

It's not able to work with plush or high-pile carpets however, iRobot claims that future models will be better.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common however we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features a superior filtration system which blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We think this is a nice statement, but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles, like stairs and other barriers and to tidy up your entire home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, mini Robot Vacuum as well as establish virtual boundary markers, so that it can recognize areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q Revo stands out. If it comes across the wall or a furniture piece it gently smacks into it and moves along.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically moves physical trash to the bin hidden in the background and also washes and dry the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only inform you when something is not right for example, low water levels or a canceled vacuuming session due to a full bin.

You can also create or merge actual rooms to personalize the way Q Revo handles your home. This feature is helpful for those who have different flooring in different areas of your house or if you need to regularly clear out clutter such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, taking debris from carpets as well as hardwoods in its first run. It is able to even remove wet spills however I would recommend cleaning them off with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium bob robot vacuum mop and vacuum that has all the features you could want. The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that can be used even when you're not at home. It also has a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a predetermined path.

The X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its rotating mop pads that scrub away tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it detects a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a huge battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as effective as the ones we've seen on a consumer-grade robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality mop and vacuum robot that comes with a range of convenience features you don't often see on robots of this price. It is able to build precise floor maps, recognize different flooring types and is one of the few to automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These are nice features but they also make the L10s more of a premium category. This could mean it's more expensive than homeowners need.

Designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish highlighted by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which protects the vacuum and furniture from damage while moving through the house. Sensors are hidden behind the front panel, which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which serves as an on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. However, it wasn't quite as effective in removing sand from the floor or quaker oats on the carpet.
