The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a good choice if you're looking for a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It has a great mopping capability, but it lacks certain of the more advanced features found in its more expensive counterpart.

During tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to help you map your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the top-rated robots. It offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features, including a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. The robot will learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automated schedules to give you an effortless cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is setup you can begin the automatic cleaning with a single button press. You can select an overall clean that focuses on getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal, or opt for two detailed maps of your home to ensure your entire home gets a proper look.

This robot vac performs well on both floors that are bare and carpet with a low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and clean large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's not able to work with plush or high-pile carpets, but iRobot claims that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle walls and furniture. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common, but we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has an advanced filtration system, which prevents micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We like the statement, but not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to store the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map your interior. It can then clean your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries so that the robot knows what areas require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine mopping and vacuuming, the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as good as those found on more expensive models. Its mopping system is superior as its spinning pads scrub your floors much more effectively than the vibrating pads.

The only drawback is that it does not have a second rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but it's an acceptable cost to pay for if you want one of the best robots available. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than its competitors. Filling it up only takes two or three cycles even when you've got the most dirt.

In terms of the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less abrasive than the more powerful ones, generate minimal noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without interruption. It will gently hit a wall or furniture and then move on whenever it comes across one.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that can automatically transfer physical garbage into the bin hidden in the background and washes and dry the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app is good at notifying you when something needs attention, such as the clean water tank running low or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also design and merge actual rooms to alter the way that Q Revo manages your home. This feature is beneficial for those who have different flooring in different areas of your house or when you have to frequently get rid of clutter like toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, taking dirt from carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It can even clean up spills that are wet, though I recommend wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It comes with an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor that recognizes obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling onto furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, modern design. This is thanks to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best robot vacuum known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still big. It has a height of more than two feet the height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it charges faster and can handle a full cleaning of about 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as a voice assistant that works offline, so you can use it even if you're away from home. It also comes with more mopping modes and a smart routing feature which allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead just following a set path.

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a top-quality model that has a range of convenience features not often found on robots of this price. It can create detailed floor maps and detect different types of flooring. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are great, but they also make the L10s more of a class of luxury. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is tall and slim and has a white-colored finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper that helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage while moving around the house. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that is used as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can shut it off and send it to its base station. The circular menu in the middle of the control panel allows users to select cleaning options or schedules, as well as preferences. Its mops are efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our tile, wood, and carpet tests.
