What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The item upgrader adds a brand new widget to the top of the Angel and Cash Upgrade windows. This Manager costs 33 billion Angel Investors and offers no gameplay benefit aside from making it easier to see and buy upgrades.

Boosts

Some items come with built-in boos which is less beneficial when upgraded. For example the Goldwrap has an extra potion slots. These are usually upgraded to inject more value into an item that is perfect or close to being perfect.

Costs

There are some costs related to upgrades of items. The first is the cost for the upgrade. It can be costly and depends on the new level of the item as well as the number perks it gains. Upgrades to a higher level (such as Explorer to Champion or Veteran to Heroic) can be expensive.

This item will allow you upgrade the equipment to the next tier without risking its breaking.

If an upgrade is unsuccessful it will be restored to its original state. This is typically a break, but it can also be a downgrade. It is a good idea to save an upgrade for when you're close to the highest level of an Best item upgrader, and use it as an emergency.
