The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking to buy an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It offers a great mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

In tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. It doesn't employ LIDAR, however, as other models do, to map your home.

iRobot Roomba s9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and plenty of features that include an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. It can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is set up it can begin automated cleaning with a single button press. You can choose a general clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that your entire home is completely cleaned.

This robot vac performs well on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as other models do, and it can even pick up pet hair without much difficulty. It has a difficult time with carpets that are high-pile or plush however, iRobot says that future models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on improving corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it to be able to hug furniture and walls. It's a great improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with a superior filtering system that blocks microscopic dust particles and allergens from circulating within your home. We think it's a nice claim but not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map the interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles like staircases and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are just as effective as those of higher-end models and its mopping feature is superior, as its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

It's only downside is the lack of a second brush for deeper cleaning. However, it's not a big deal if you want to own one of the top robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank also larger than many of its rivals and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the highest dirt level.

As for the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create low noise, which means you can work or even watch TV without being distracted. It will gently hit a wall or furniture and then move away if it comes across one.

What distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash to the bin hidden in the background and washes and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app is good at nagging you only when something needs attention, like the water tank being empty or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create or merge actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo manages your home. This feature is helpful if you have different flooring in different areas of your house or if you need to regularly remove clutter, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my test, picking up debris on carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first pass. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it to.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that comes with all the features you can wish for. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a top-quality model that comes with a variety of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It can make detailed floor maps and detect various flooring types. It's also among the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are great, they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury, which might make it slightly more expensive than the average homeowner need.

Its mops also perform well and remove 98.4% debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
