In this book, Darrow creates an interesting background story for Avon and imitates the lively style of dialogue that Blake's 7 was known for quite well, but unless you are an avid fan of the show, it's likely not for you. The book is centered around the relationship between Avon, Vila and their mutual respect and dislike of their cowardice and ruthlessness.

There are some really thrilling scenes in which Avon is required to make difficult decisions to protect his team, and this reveals his soft side. The characters are given a amount of depth and each one has their own unique character that makes them believable. This is a story that will leave you wanting more. The writing is perfect, and the story has a real sense of the place. It's a masterpiece written by an author at her peak.

Avon's commitment to bring the best of commercial fiction to the broadest possible audience is still in place today. Avon books are innovative and diverse, and feature some of the most exciting talent in contemporary literature. The company also has a long-standing and proud history of publishing the very top in historical fiction, especially in the field of historical romance. The Author
