Path of Exile Item Upgrading

The most effective way to upgrade item your equipment in Path of Exile is through item upgrades. This allows you to enhance your gear without having to depend on costly trades or drops. This article will teach you how to upgrade your items.

Upgrades in equipment can add an additional bonus to the item's base stats. This bonus scales according to the rarity and level of the upgrade component.

Components

Upgrade components are the things that make your weapons and armor better. They can be obtained by fighting off enemies, locating them in spheres of items or buying them from karma merchants. They can also be rescued from equipment that has them or by using the highest-quality salvage kits such as the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Unlike most other items, upgrade components are not destroyed when they are removed from an item.

Upgrade components are mostly used to upgrade an item, but they can also be used for other purposes. They can be stacked in order to increase the level or experience gained from upgrading existing weapons or gear. They can also be forged to give additional bonuses. For instance, a crafted glyph will boost the upgrade chance of its target, whereas an upgrade boost will enhance the defense or attack attribute of a weapon or armor.

Selecting an Upgrade item template in the GUI will allow you to connect it to an item. This will show the upgrade components that the item can be updated. You can also use the workbench when selecting an upgrade template. In either instance the item will be upgraded when enough upgrade components are collected.

Each component has a different experience multiplier that affects how much more experience an item upgrade receives when it is upgraded with the component. For instance, organic components give an experience multiplier that is higher than mechanical ones. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade with organic components until you have reached the experience multiplier of the next level of the weapon or gear, and then move to mechanical upgrades.

Each item upgrader mod has a maximum upgrade number that can be received. The number of upgradeable items is determined by their upgradeable rank and the type of upgrade they can receive. For example, the highest possible upgrade for a weapon is a tier 10 weapon. However, the most popular upgrade for weapons is the tier 6 weapon and a tier 5 armor upgrade.

Sets

A set is a collection of items that share the same bonus. Each item in the set can be upgraded at least one time, and the upgrade will increase its guaranteed bonuses. When you first upgrade a set piece or weapon, it will receive a +1 increase to its primary stat. After subsequent upgrades the stats of the primary one will be increased a bit further (for example, +1 up to 12+/13+/14+) Each time you upgrade the item, one of its extra stats will be increased randomly.

The upgrade of a weapon can increase the damage base, which may be necessary for certain builds. However, weapons are not upgraded to a higher defense level than their base. It is a good option to increase the value of certain sets and unique items, but it's important to note that they might not be more effective than a high-level raneword in any build.

If you are upgrading an item that has a bonus it can be rerolled a single time and the guarantee will reset to 0. Rerolling is the same amount of power dice as leveling an item, however the upgraded item will come with additional bonuses. Upgrades can be made through the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in the Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you will need a power die of each kind (Dice 4 or 6 drop from monsters 21+ and Giants; Dice 7 drops from bosses) and the appropriate amount of Minerals and Erons. These are available at the crafting table or the Ultra Collector, and can be purchased using Gold. NPCs also offer special rewards for each completed stage of the upgrade process. The reward can be rerolled a single time using the same materials as the original item.

Rerolling

A player is able to play rerolling any item that they acquire during the game, provided they have enough tokens to be able to do so. If an item is rerolled, it will be replaced with a level 1 version in another set. Reroll tokens are sold in the shop for a small amount of in-game currency. They are non-refundable. The new upgraded item will still have the extra bonuses of the first, but its stats will differ too.

Players can alter the identification of their equipment as well as changing it's roll by interfacing with an NPC upgrader. This will change the identification from a weapon to an armor or reverse it. The base requirements and stats will remain the same. The change will be permanent and affect all characters who have the equipment.

The player can also upgrade their level of the item for any equipment equipped. This is done by interacting with an upgrader NPC and obtaining upgrade components. All armor and weapons apart from practice equipment get these stats when they level up. The market determines the value of these stats. A weapon or armor that has perfect rolls can fetch a much higher price than a non-upp’d version. Similar is the case for other pieces of armor, such as tiaras and circlets.
