Lightweight

The sleek design makes this double umbrella stroller among the slimmest on the market. It also has an extra-wide canopy that protects both seats.

A few other lightweight options like the Joovy Kooper X2, have more bells and whistles you'd expect from a double umbrella stroller, such as a more comfortable ride for both kids because of the padded seating and a more comfortable recline in each seat. It's important to note, though, that the more features you select, the more your stroller weighs. Also, you should ensure that your child doesn't put their fingers on the frames or hinges of these strollers because of the way they open and close.

Compact

When folded when folded, the most compact double infant stroller umbrella strollers are easy to maneuver and can fit into small spaces. A double push chair tri-fold stroller like the Joovy Kooper X2, offers all the features of an umbrella-style stroller but is comparable in size to a full-size stroller. This type of stroller is fast replacing the traditional double umbrella, and may be your best choice when you're looking for a versatile lightweight stroller for travel.

The majority of double umbrella strollers we recommend are side-by-side models. The exception is the Kinderwagon Hop, a tandem umbrella stroller that's lightweight and easy to fold (though it's also quite small in width). If you're looking for a low-cost, simple, no-frills double umbrella stroller that you can throw in your back pack or trunk for short trips, we highly recommend this one. It comes with two storage bins that hang from the bags at the back of each seat, as well as cup holders for parents. It's so basic, you might not be able to get your kids through the airport without causing noise. But it will make your trip more comfortable.

Comfortable Seats

The G-Link does not have the bellybar or snack tray we'd love to see on our top choices. But those features aren’t essential to an umbrella stroller. Like any umbrella stroller, it must be handled with care so fingers, whether your own or that of a child get stuck in the folding frame hinges and mechanisms.

In the majority of double umbrella strollers they have seats that are side-by-side. However, there are models with inline seating (one seat in front of the other). Inline models are more easy to maneuver through doorways than side by side models however their seating arrangements can cause your children to fight over which seat. Our previous testers were pretty evenly split on this issue It's a personal decision.

Safety

Although it's difficult to find a light double stroller that offers the same level of security as the full-sized strollers, a few models are close. They are also usually narrower and lighter than other double umbrella strollers which makes them easier to maneuver through tight spaces such as airports or city streets.

However these strollers are extremely light and can be used as a backup or for occasional travel needs. These strollers are also less expensive than renting one for a whole vacation or for a trip. They are easy to fold, lift, carry and store away.
