Item upgrading allows players to increase the gear score of an item level upgrade to 700, and then add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory and heading to the kiln.

Certain items can be upgraded for their unique stats (like a perfectly rolled breakpoint armour used in melee PvP) while others like weapons don't change much post upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats like crit chance, attack damage PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons come with a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. In addition some weapons come with an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a unit. Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button within the item menu using the circling arrows. This will reroll an item level upgrade and alter its stats but it will not reset the weapon's levels or bind it to account status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make all the difference to your survival. It isn't possible to upgrade armor in the same way as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is best to focus on upgrading your armor to increase physical power or spell power.
