Anal fistula

Fistulas are generated from anal glands, which are situated in between the two layers of the anal sphincters and which drain into the anal canal.

Due to some reasons, outlet of these glands are bloacked which can cause an abscess and can point to the skin surface. The tract formed by this process is fistula.

Causes of Fistula
A complication from surgery. Ulcer. A congenital abnormality.
Some conditions which also leads to fistula are:- Ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis, IBS, etc.

Pain in Anal region. Discharge from Anus. Pruritis ani.
Anal fissures

Fissure is a small tear in the skin that lines the anus. It occurs when person passes hard or large stools during a bowel movement.



Common Causes of Fissures

Anal fissures can be caused by trauma to the anus and anal canal. The reasons of the trauma can be one or more out of following:-
Chronic constipation. Prolonged diarrhea. Anal stretching. Foreign objects insertion into the anus.
Signs and Symptoms of Fissure

Signs and symptoms include:
A visible tear in the anal canal or anus. Burning sensation, pain during and after bowel movement. Blood on the surface of stool, constipation. Discomfort while urinating.

Surgery is not only the option for fissure.

It can be treated by keeping the anorectal area dry. Wipe and clean it with soft cloth or cotton pad. Treat constipation by having diet with high fiber, you vintage porn leafy vegetables and avoiding much spicy, junk food.
Ointments which are naturally antiseptic and anti-bacterial are applied locally.
Treat repeatedly occurrence of diarrhoea. Oil extracted from Nirgundi and Kasees is recommended for local application to subside the symptoms.

Kshara Sutra is a procedure to clean and heal the anal fistula, which has very good results. A seton thread is used which is medicated with organic alkalis like apmarga kshara,arka kashara,or snuhi kashara in this procedure. Up to 20 coatings on are done to have good results.
Haridra powder, guggulu are also used which are natural antibiotics. Collectively all these help to clean, cut and drain the fistulous track when applied, thus helps to heal the wound. Ksharasutra, antiseptic action of haridra also helps to promote healing of wound.

This is repeated periodically until thread cuts the track of fistula. Under local anesthesia, kshara sutra is inserted into the track and two ends of thread are tied to form a loop. This whole action lasts for a week. Alkalies releases in the track and clean, cut, drain and heal the track.
Thread is replaced according the extent of damage. It may be changed up to 5 times. Change of thread does not take much time and local anesthesia also not needed.
