They're easy to open and close, however I found their plastic textured coatings a bit difficult on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator includes all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator within this price range. This includes Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app, available for iOS and Android devices can let you control your fridge from anywhere in the world, and has a ton of customization options. It also gives you notifications when doors are left open, when the refrigerator or freezer needs to be defrosted and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be great if GE PYE22PYNFS offered Precise fill the option that is available in a handful of GE refrigerators that allow users to select how many cups they want to dispense. The fridge shows a countdown to display how much water remains, but it's not as effective as Precise fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

It is designed to look like a seamless piece of your kitchen, Bosch's French-door refrigerator is an eye-catching piece. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a vegetable compartment that helps keep vegetables and fruits fresher longer and has dual compressors to ensure maximum food preservation. The Ice maker is among the most efficient we've ever tested, and it produces a pyramid-shaped form of ice with a low water usage. This refrigerator is a great option for households with a single member or kitchenettes who want a sleek design and top-of-the-line food preservation.

This fridge was rated as the most efficient in our Refrigerators Test for a variety of reasons. Its freezer temperatures held firm at just above 0 degrees Fahrenheit and never fluctuating by more than a fraction an inch. This is essential in preventing freezing burn. The fridge section of the refrigerator also did well. It reached the initial temperature set within an hour and maintained the temperature throughout our testing.

Bosch is a household name known for its high-end appliances. It's therefore no surprise that the Bosch counter depth fridge can be connected to your home Wi Fi and Bosch's platform Home Connect. Inside, the fridge has a standard French-door layout with gallon-sized bins for the doors on each door as well as two rows of spill-capture shelves and a set crisper drawers. The top shelf on the right can be folded down to give tall items more headroom. There's also a full-width drawer for deli items and an internal water dispenser.

The refrigerator comes with an ice maker making it simple to transfer ice when needed. The freezer also features thoughtful design features, like sliding drawers that allow you to organize your items. It comes with a large bin to store frozen food items, and a separate one for ice.

Smart InstaView panel is a cool feature of the refrigerator. You can control the temperature, lighting, and other aspects of your refrigerator from your smartphone. It's a good way to monitor and manage your refrigerator, especially if you're away from home.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a ideal choice for those who want to combine the advantages of a fridge with a french door fridge with ice maker no plumbing door with a more efficient layout. Its capacity is superior to counter-depth models and is able to cool evenly. It's also less expensive than the best counter-depth refrigerator that has an ice maker, which helps make it an attractive option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

It's a minimalist design that isn't as striking visually as other models, but it has enough features to make it a good choice. The "Chill Drawer", which sits over the two crisper bins, is another excellent feature. I've noticed that the generic settings are more effective than the specific ones.

During my tests, the temperatures of the refrigerator stayed fairly consistent across different areas of the fridge. The temperatures in the middle, top and bottom of the refrigerator did not differ much from 38 degrees. This is a solid performance but does not quite make it to the top of our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. This fridge can be paired with a smart thermostat in order to get more accurate readings on the internal temperature of your fridge.

The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's outside is made of stainless steel with a grey body with a "smudge-proof" finish. It wards off streaks and fingerprints better than other stainless steel finishes I've tested.
