Special features like door-to-door dispensers, ice machines with higher-end features and flex drawers that can be customized make them stand out from the crowd.

We consulted Ladina Schopf - an interior designer, architect, and founder of LS Projects - for her advice on how to choose the best one. They considered the storage capacity, layout, and energy efficiency among other features.

Like its name implies, the GE Profile series is aimed at people who want to incorporate cutting-edge technologies into their kitchens. The refrigerator is brimming with these, from an inside-the-door Keurig K-cup coffee maker to a smart water dispenser. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. Since this refrigerator is a premium, I expect higher quality.

This refrigerator is a good choice, despite the small blip. It has a huge freezer compartment, which is unusual for counter-depth French door fridges. It also has a large capacity for frozen food items compared to other models.

Inside the fridge, there are 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment is 18.5 cubic feet, which is the standard for a french door fridge india-door fridge at this price. It has a decent sized refrigerator with an ice maker in the left door. However it's not the most spacious one I've seen.

You can adjust the shelves in each compartment to create a customized storage layout for whatever you have to store. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is attractive. Its LED lighting is a nice touch, and the in-door storage bins have the third shelf, which folds down to allow you to store tall items. The drawers have temperature controls that let you set them to Meat, Beverage or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, however I found their textured plastic coatings a bit difficult on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator has all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator within this price range. It has Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app, available for iOS and Android devices, lets you control your fridge from anywhere in world, and it has many options for customizing. It will also send notifications when the door is unlocked, when the freezer or fridge needs to be defrosted, and when the filter requires a change.

It is nice to have GE PYE22PYNFS had Precise Fill the option that is found in a few GE refrigerators that allows users to select how many cups they want to pour out. It also has an indicator on the fridge's display to display how much water you have left, but it's not as useful as Precise fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The Bosch French-door Refrigerator what is the shortest french door refrigerator a striking piece. It's designed to look like it's a seamless component of your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also features a veggie compartment which keeps vegetables and fruits fresher for longer periods, and two compressors for preserving food. The ice maker is one of the best we've ever tested and produces pyramid-shaped ice that is low in use of water. This refrigerator is ideal for a single family or a kitchenette that wants an attractive design and top of the highest quality food preservation.

This refrigerator was rated as the most efficient in our Refrigerators Test for a variety of reasons. The temperature of the freezer remained constant at just above 0° Fahrenheit and never changed more than a fraction - this is essential to avoid freezing burn. The fridge section of the refrigerator also did well. It reached the temperature it was set within an hour and remained at the temperature throughout our testing.

Bosch is a household name known for its top-quality appliances. Therefore, it's not a surprise that the Bosch counter depth refrigerator can be connected to your home Wi Fi and Bosch's Home Connect. This app allows you to monitor and manage your fridge remotely using your smartphone or tablet. The refrigerator is expensive, however it has great features and capabilities for the cost.

While the fridge is a fantastic appliance but it's important to be aware of the limitations. You may need to get creative with tall items because the fridge has a small shelf space. Also the shelves aren't sprillproof and can be easily stained or damaged by sharp objects. The trays can be easily removed from the fridge. However, they should be cleaned regularly to prevent the growth of mold.

LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The LG LRFLC2706S is a top counter-depth refrigerator that packs plenty of storage space into an extremely compact frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. Inside, the fridge has a standard French-door layout with gallon-sized bins for the doors on each door and two rows of spill-capture shelves, and a set of sleeker drawers. The top shelf on the right side can be folded in order to create more space for tall items. You'll also find a full width drawer for deli items and an internal water dispenser.

This refrigerator has a freezer with an ice maker making it simple to transfer ice when needed. The freezer has thoughtful design elements, as well, such as sliding drawers to help you better organize the placement of your items. It has a large bin to store frozen food items, and a separate one for ice.

Another awesome feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. You can control the temperature, lighting, and other aspects of your fridge using your smartphone. It's an easy way to keep track of your refrigerator and control it, especially when not at home.

The other issue we have with the doors of this refrigerator. The handles with a sunken design allow smaller people to open them from the bottom. However taller people struggle to close them without slamming. It would have been more effective to have front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is a great choice for those who want to combine the look of a french door retro fridge door refrigerator with an efficient design. Its capacity is superior for a counter-depth model, and it cools evenly and has a good layout. It's also a bit cheaper than the top counter depth refrigerator that comes with an icemaker, which makes it a great choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

If you're looking for a French door fridge that doesn't cost a fortune, this Frigidaire is a great choice. It's a minimalist design that isn't as striking in appearance like some of the competitors however it comes with enough features to make it a good pick. Its most important feature is the temperature adjustable drawer, which helps keep foods like meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also has a large ice maker as well as a water dispenser.

Another nice feature is the "Chill Drawer" that sits over the two crisper bins. This drawer lets you use a portion of your fridge's cooling power to this area so that you can store foods which need extra attention. You can adjust this feature using the slider located on the on the outside of the drawer. You can also adjust the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I have found that the general settings are more effective than the specific ones.

In my tests, the temperatures of the refrigerator were fairly constant across the different areas of the refrigerator. The temperatures in the top and bottom of the fridge did not vary significantly from 38 degrees, and the middle of the fridge was within one degree of 36. This is a solid performance, but does not quite make it to the top of our ratings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. The fridge can be linked with a smart thermostat in order to obtain more precise readings of the internal temperature of your non plumbed fridge french door.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made from grey-bodied stainless that has a "smudge resistant" finish. It does a great job of removing streaks and fingerprints, even compared to glossier stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tested.
