The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking to buy a mid-priced robot vacuum and mop. It offers a great mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

In tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. It doesn't use LIDAR, however, as other models do to identify your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and a variety of features that include a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot can recognize your habits for cleaning and suggest automated schedules to provide you with a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning process at the click of one button. You can choose an overall clean that emphasizes the removal of large debris such as cereal and rice, or opt for two thorough mappings of your space to ensure your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vac performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpet with a low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some other models, and it can even pick up pet hair with ease. It's not able to work with plush or Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo high-pile carpets however, iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that adopts a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug walls and furniture. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common, but we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features an advanced filtration system, which prevents tiny particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We think this is a nice statement however, it's not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to store the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map the interior of your home. It then cleans your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundaries, so it can recognize areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those found on more expensive models. Its mopping system is superior because its spinning pads clean your floors more effectively than the vibrating pads.

The only drawback is the absence of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. But that's not a major issue for those who want to own one of the best robots available. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors. Filling it up takes only two or three cycles even when you've got the most dirt.

As for the mopping device, I was awestruck with its ability to scrub tough dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes, which are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, produce very little noise, which allows you to work or even watch TV without interruption. If it comes across the wall or a furniture piece, it gently bumps into it before moving on.

What really distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical garbage into the bin hidden in the background and also washes and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is capable of nagging you only when something needs attention, such as the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create and merge rooms to modify the way that Q Revo manages your home. This feature is useful when you have different flooring in different areas of your home or if you need to regularly remove clutter, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, taking debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It is able to even vacuum up wet spills however I would recommend drying them with a cloth before sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It comes with an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties the mop pads, keeping them fresh and ready for reuse. The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and vacuum robot that comes with a host of convenience features that you aren't likely to find on robots at this price. It is able to create detailed floor maps and detect various flooring types. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are great but they also push the L10s into the premium category. This could make it more expensive than homeowners need.

Created to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish enhanced by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper that helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage while moving through the house. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that serves as the on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu in the center of the control panel lets you to select cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open the settings menu in which you can modify the way that the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This allows the robot to clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum and mop self empty vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them, which is an excellent feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hardwood floors and taking out all but stubborn juice stains. Its mops are efficient, clearing 98.4% of debris on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't quite as great at tackling sand on the floor or Quaker oats on carpet.
