Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade, also referred to as "upping," improves an item upgrader kit's stats. Each upgrade increment increases a stat linearly.

Players can recycle up to six items at a time in order to gain an indicator of the level of the upgraded components. The cost of recycling an item scales with its rarity and level.

Upgrade components

A level upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a process that can boost the stats of your weapons and armor. This can be accomplished by a number of means that include using upgrade components and upgrading an item's mark levels or rarity. In addition, many items can be reforged to boost their stats even more.

Upgradable items can be found in the game, both within the world and as rewards for missions. They can also be crafted by players. Upgrade components are the primary way to upgrade equipment. These are the items that slot into equipment. The majority of equipment comes with slots for upgrading, and many require a certain level of upgrade. Certain upgrade components offer specific bonuses, while others give a general bonus.

To upgrade an item, click it in your inventory, then open the Upgrade window. The upper-right side of the screen shows the amount of upgrade components required for a particular item. This is not the exact amount at the glyph can increase a stat, but the maximum value by which it can do so. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the tier and the quality of the product you are in awe of it.

The majority of upgrade components that are installed into items cannot be removed or replaced without dismantling them except for legendary equipment and upgrades. If you have a glyph or rune you don't want to use, but it hasn't been incorporated to the gear yet, you can transfer the item to another piece by using the Upgrade Glyphs menu in the Glyphs Panel. This will create a new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

You can take out a glyph by using a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. This will destroy the item in which it is installed, but you can recover the upgraded item by using the glyph and its fragments, therefore, it shouldn't be considered a loss.

A glyph added to an item could cause it to become unstable and the shards of the glyph will disappear from your inventory when you take it down. You can also apply a glyph on your equipment to provide an extra benefit. For example the glyph Deferred Damage can store damage for the wearer and then deal it out slowly instead of all at once. This is beneficial for players who are taking a lot of damage from their enemies but don't want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens let players alter the affixes on their weapons and equipment and they can be obtained in various ways like mistery boxes or as a rare drop from skulled creatures, or even from killing bosses. Each reroll token gives players a new random affix, which is typically superior to the one they had before. Reroll tokens are also a great option to reroll stats on weapons that can be upgraded to increase damage or additional perks.

Rerolled items are not listed on the menu for item upgrades (homepage), but they can still be upgraded. By pressing the "upgrade button" you can recycle the recycled items. This will alter the appearance of the window for the item, and allow up to six items to be chosen for recycling. The level gauge is increased by recycling an item. This amount is determined by the rarity of the item and its level, therefore items with higher levels are more useful to recycle than lower-level ones.

Players can also make use of Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to roll rerolling Weapon Traits to upgrade units. Rerolls are based on a % chance of a weapon's traits. If it is higher, the weapon is upgraded. If it rolls lower the weapon is left as it was. Weapons can be rerolled up to three times.

Instead, they're planning to include an ability to change races in the near future.

Leveling

There are a number of ways to boost the value of an upgrade for an item. The first is to increase the upgrade amount, which increases the value of an upgrade items for the stat. The second is to increase the effect of upgrading that increases the damage or heal of a specific stat. The base item can be upgraded to an advanced upgrade type. When this is done the new item will retain its iLevel, but will be upgraded with the effects of the upgraded type of item.
