The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option for those looking for a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It offers a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to map out your home.

Roomba s9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is built into the base of charging. The robot also learns your habits of cleaning and suggest automated schedules for a truly hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is setup, you can start cleaning automatically with just one button. You can choose a general clean that prioritizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and Top 10 Robot Vacuums rice, or opt for two thorough maps of your area to ensure your entire home is properly arranged.

This robot vacuum is effective on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It is able to take large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some other models, and it can even pick up pet hair with ease. It's not the best time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot promises it will get better in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that focuses on improving corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle walls and furniture. It's a nice improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we discovered it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features superior filtration, which prevents micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We like the statement but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to keep track of the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. It can then clean your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundary markers, so it is aware of areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those found on more expensive models. Its mopping system is superior as its spinning pads clean your floors more efficiently than a vibrating pad.

The only drawback is that it doesn't have a second rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but it's an affordable cost to pay for if you want to get one of the best robots available. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors. Filling it up only takes two or three cycles even when you've got the most dirt.

In terms of the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less aggressive than the higher-powered ones create little noise, allowing you to work or even watch television without interruption. It will gently bump into furniture or walls, and then move on whenever it comes across one.

What distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical trash into the bin hidden from view and also washes and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only alert you if something is wrong, such as a low clean water tank or a cancelled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also create and merge actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo will treat your home. This feature is beneficial for those who have different flooring in different areas of your home or when you have to frequently clear out clutter such as clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum was also among the best performers in my test and was able to remove debris from carpets and hardwood floors with the first attempt. It can also clean up spills that are wet but I would suggest drying them using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, as well as a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready to be reused. It also has a sensor that recognizes obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite big--it's over two feet high and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the entire robot and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and cleans 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris, making it easier to empty when required.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that is functional even when you're not at home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a set path.

The Omni Omni has the top 10 robot Vacuums mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its rotating mop pads that remove tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent too, and it boosts suction when it senses carpet to ensure it's doing the job well. It also has a large battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as powerful as any we've seen in a consumer-grade robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a premium model that has a range of features that aren't often found on robots of this price. It can build detailed floor maps, identify different types of flooring and is among the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. While these features are useful but they also put the L10s Ultra in the luxury category which could make it somewhat more expensive than some homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It is slim and tall, with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner when you are moving around your home. In the pane in the front is a second navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's a single button that essentially is a switch for on and off. This button will activate the vacuum. If you click it again, it will shut it off and send it back to its base station. The circular menu at the middle of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons open the app's settings where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to map out your home. This helps the robot mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum cleaner for carpet vacuum to avoid obstacles and recognize them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our test on the hard floor and taking out all but the most stubborn juice stain. Its mops are efficient, removing 98.4 percent of debris from our wood, tile, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as effective in removing sand from the floor, or Quaker oats on carpet.
