Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of removing dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet mess (spills and stains) in one go without having to swap out devices. They can also help save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will have impressive navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bin and fill up their water tank, and wash their mopping pads using the dock that is specifically designed for them.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking is simple, and the quick-start guide can get you running in no time with a full dust bag, water tank and a hard floor.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at high speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of dirt, pet hair and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a selection of brushes and attachments and an intuitive app that lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

For instance, you can opt for the robot to take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models are unable to. The only problem is that it tends to hit objects and walls at full speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning in the app will show you exactly what the robot completed, where it's traveling, and what obstacles it has encountered or avoided.

A handy LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance tasks must be completed, such as emptying the debris tray and rinsing its dirty water tank. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank by using a 600ml bottle filled with the eufy's solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop is able to run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can last 136 mins in standard mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. You can view the entire cleaning information in the app, which is clearly laid out and easily understood, though we would have liked to be able to differentiate between a mop only vacuum and mop clean, when examining a cleaned area in the cleaning robot mop and vacuum history.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop, is the most recent version. This year's model has two agitators built into its mopping pad. This increases the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to pick up small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners could be unable to pick up.

The Roborock model, like the other two I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it get around obstacles like walls, furniture, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates dual cameras that can detect objects, determining if they're walls or other surfaces. It can then change its path in a way that is automatic and clean around them without missing a step.

It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed however, it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek angular design is eye catching and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child-lock and a home button to send the best robot vacuum that mops to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank automatically empties and the bin auto vacuum and mop-refills.

The only downside I've found with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. You can replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's a challenge to take the mount off to wash it manually. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can configure and manage these via the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery life and maintain your components. You'll have to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering the performance otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner (awonaesthetic.co.kr) is the first to offer 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum can clear up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry mess. It also comes with a high-quality mop that makes hard floors spotlessly clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also very quiet in operation with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.

The X40 also comes with a side brush that can be lifted and extended. This lets it reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean furniture with curved edges like chairs and table legs. The robot can also reach under low-profile furnishings, making it an excellent option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush also automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots. This is a nice touch that assists the X40 avoid damaging floors with the frequent back-and-forth movement.

In contrast to other robots that solely focus on one task, the X40 is capable of performing both vacuuming and mopping at the same time or individually. It can also be programmed to avoid areas with carpet and mop only hard floors, and reverse the process. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is easy to use and intuitive, and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, see mapping and floor plans and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and notify you when it's done.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many features that make it an excellent option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin, and clean mop pads before refilling them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also detect when the mop pad is full and alert you before it overflows, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. However, it has many features that make it stand out. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It uses two high-speed mops to clean floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and it has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, dirt particles and pick up spills and soiled spots.

The mop mops are cleaned and dried at the base station each time they are used. This is a fantastic feature because it prevents the growth of odours and mould in storage, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a feature we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuum and mop models and could be a great method to keep your home clean for longer.

There are a lot of options, including the ability to schedule cleanings and change preferences. The app allows you to define these preferences, or you can use the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and provides a variety of options for customising the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are numerous features that other robots don't include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles rather than using an individual setting.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks elegant and elegant. It is a little heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots listed on this list, but it's still not excessively heavy. It feels solid and well-constructed. Mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mops work well on hard floors and in corners. They can also extend to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice feature.
