Easy to Assemble

A lightweight stroller is a great choice for parents on the go. They are designed to be fast and easy to put together fold, transport, and store. Many have an extended canopy that shields your child from the rain and sun. They are great to navigate busy streets, malls that are crowded and public transportation.

It is important to consider the age and weight of the stroller when selecting one. Most single-seat strollers are made pram for newborn children that weigh between 55 and 55 pounds. One of the most basic models we've test one of the simplest models we tested, the Kolcraft Cloud Plus folds with a single hand and can even be folded while your child is playing in it (although that's not recommended). It also has an undercarriage that is less than other strollers.

Silver Cross Jet 4 is an ultra-light stroller that is a great travel option. It folds into a compact size and then rolled up like a suitcase to fit in the majority of overhead bins on airplanes. The stroller is comfortable to carry with either a padded handle or strap. The Jet 4 is a bit on the pricey side but it's loaded with lots of parent-friendly features, including a deep recline and UPF 50+ canopy.

Another excellent travel stroller is the UPPAbaby G-Luxe that folds down into a triangular shape and is about as small as a baby backpack. It has plenty of storage space for diaper bags and weekender pram bags, with a back pocket and two parent cupholders. The only downside is that the G-Luxe doesn't offer an entire recline and doesn't have a strap for carrying however it's an excellent choice for families who are constantly on the move.

When it comes to folding and carrying it's impossible to get smaller than the Cybex Libelle. This stroller folds into a rectangle that's about as thin as a passport. As such, it can easily fit into a purse or backpack. It can be carried along the aisles of an airplane and is great for checking gates, cabin storage or even to store in overhead compartments.

Easy to carry

Lightweight strollers not just take up less space in your car, but are easy to store and transport with a bag. This makes them ideal for families on the go. Some fold up like an umbrella so you can store them in the corner of your trunk or your diaper bag when not in use. Some come with a handle, while others have a padded strap that can be worn over your shoulder.

The most compact strollers can be folded into a rectangle, and measure 12x14x7 inches. when folded. This is well within the carry-on restrictions of airlines. The Pockit, for example, is folded in two steps and requires both hands, however, it's so light you can pick it up as a backpack or carry-on bag. Another option that is compact is the Cybex Libelle, which is slightly higher than the Pockit, and folds into a rectangle shape but measures 13x18x7 inches when folded.

They may not move as smoothly as full size strollers with bigger tires and more serious suspensions but they're an excellent option for maneuvering through tight spaces such as airport terminals or narrow corridors on public transportation. They can also be used on rough terrain, such as cobblestone streets and rocky beaches, though your child is likely to suffer more bruises and bumps than in a top-of-the-line full-size stroller equipped with a robust suspension system.

The Minu stroller from UPPAbaby comes with many features at an affordable price. Its suspension is able to take on rough terrain. It has a decent canopy however it's not as spacious than our top pick. The recline mechanism also is easy to use. It's not as compactly as the Yoyo2 or Munchkin Sparrow and weighs more than the Bugaboo Butterfly, so you might have to check the gate on flights. The stroller has one clever feature the handle retracts and can be used as an additional footrest when folded.

Another option that is great is another option is the Contours Quick Elite, which can fit 30 different car seats (adapter required) or a toddler of up to 50 pounds. It's not as lightweight like our other top picks, but is still fairly compact when folded and it has an under-seat basket that fits a backpack.

Easy to store

It does not recline and doesn't have a parent cup holder. It's still a great choice if you need a light travel stroller, though.
