item upgrader mod upgrade, commonly called "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment gives an increase in linearity of a given stat.

Players can recycle up to six items at a time in order to gain an ability to gauge the level of each of the item's upgraded components. The cost of recycling an item scales with its rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an item upgrade is a way to boost the stats of your armor and weapons. This can be done through many different methods, including using upgrade components and increasing an item's mark level or rarity. In addition to this, many items can be reforged, which can increase their stats.

You can purchase upgradeable items throughout the game. They are available in all over the world and are rewards for missions. Players can also craft them. The primary method to upgrade equipment is through the use of upgrade components which are components that can be inserted into equipment. The majority of equipment comes with upgrade slots, and most require a certain level of upgrade. Some upgrade components provide specific bonuses, while others give an overall bonus.

There are many types of upgrade components that are available in the game. These include universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. Universal upgrades, such as gemstones and enchantments can be placed in any equipment type and offer fewer bonuses than those that are equipment type specific. Glyphs can be placed in gathering tools and provide a variety of bonuses, ranging from increasing the speed of the item's collection to providing additional crafting materials.

Select the item in your inventory, and then open the Upgrade window. The window will show an overview on the right side of the screen showing what the expected stats are after the upgrade, along with any materials or components required. If you do not have enough of either the two, the Upgrade button will be marked as Blocked.

The number of upgrade components needed for a given item is displayed in the upper-right corner of the window for upgrading. The cost of upgrading increases depending on the upgrade level and rarity, but it can be reduced using many different methods, such as buying upgrades at a merchant or trading them to other players.

Most weapons can be improved by adding a prefix, such as a rune, or an insignia. Other weapons can be upgraded with a suffix. These upgrades alter the name of the item and add an adjective, for example 'Radiant' or 'Minor Vigor. There are some exceptions, however. the noninscribable wands, foci and shields from the Prophecies and Factions campaigns, which cannot be upgraded with any kinds of mods at all.

Glyphs

Glyphs are a way to convey information via visuals. They move to catch the viewer's attention and spur curiosity in the brain. The animation of glyphs resembles body language, which makes them more effective at conveying messages across language barriers. Glyphs also create a sense of familiarity in the brain, which increases retention of the message.

Each glyph has a range of values that it could enhance a stat in the form of an item when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use it to enchant an Artifact. This is not the exact amount at which the glyph will increase the stat, but rather the maximum amount by which it is able to do so. The value of the glyph will depend on the tier and the quality of the item that you are admiring.

Most upgrade components slotted into items cannot be replaced or salvaged without removing the gear in question, with the exception of legendary equipment and upgrades. If you have a rune or glyph you do not want to use, but it hasn't been incorporated to gear yet, you can move the item to another piece by using the Upgrade Glyphs menu within the Glyphs Panel. This will create an entirely new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

If you want to remove a glyph from a piece of then you'll need to salvage it using an Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. The item on which the glyph is installed will be destroyed, but the upgraded item can be recovered by removing the glyph fragments.

The addition of a glyph to an item may cause it to be unstable, and the shards of that glyph will disappear from your inventory when you dismantle the item. You can also place a glyph on your equipment to make it more valuable. For example the glyph Deferred Damage can store damage for the wearer and then deal it out slowly rather than all at once. This is useful for players who take many hits from enemies, but don't want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens let players alter the affixes on their weapons and equipment, and they can be obtained in various ways, including in mistery boxes, as an uncommon drop from skulled creatures, or from killing bosses. Every reroll grants the player a random affix that is typically better than what they had prior to. Reroll tokens can also be used to upgrade weapon stats for more damage or bonuses.

Rerolled items are not listed on the menu for item upgrades, but they can be upgraded. By pressing the "upgrade button", you can recycle the items that have been rerolled. This will alter the layout of the item's window, and allow up to six items be chosen to recycle. Recycling an item can add a small amount of points to its gauge of level. The amount is based on the item's rarity and its level. Therefore, items that are higher level are more valuable for recycling than those with lower levels.

Players can also use Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to roll rerolling weapons to upgrade units. Rerolls roll a percentage chance to determine a weapon's trait. If it scores higher, the weapon is upgraded. If it is lower the weapon is left as it was. Weapons can be repeated up to three times.

Rerolling is a great method to improve an item. However, players must be aware that the total ilvl will be reduced by the number that it took to reroll it to the final ilvl. This lowering effect is most effective for Diadems and ring items that don't have alternatives to raise their ilvls.

Some players have complained that the reroll system is expensive. It's better to allow people to pay for it with cash or food items which will allow players to make changes to their builds without having to invest too much time. The developers aren't planning to introduce paid rerolls at this stage of the game's development. Instead, they plan to add an ability to change races in the near future.

Leveling

There are many ways to level up an item upgrade. The first is to increase the amount of upgrade that increases the value of an upgrade for any stat. The second is to boost the upgrade effect, which increases the damage or heal of a given stat. The base item can be upgraded to a more advanced upgrade type. After this the new item will maintain its iLevel but it will benefit from the upgrade effects of the upgraded item type.

It is important to remember that upgrades can be random. In most cases a better roll is determined by glyphs. However, there are times where a higher or more special roll may occur. The type of item will determine the iLevel. If you upgrade a rare or exclusive item upgrades to a specific item type, it has a chance of gaining an additional level.

Upgrading items can be costly especially when you're upgrading an item of equipment from the standard to legendary track. The cost of upgrading a piece of equipment will depend on the iLevel it's built upon and the amount of upgrade levels. Additionally, certain upgrade tracks require crests to reach the next upgrade level.

If you're lucky the upgraded item upgrading will get to the top of its upgrade track, and thus unlock an additional benefit. This will increase the item's upgrade value. The bonus effect is different with each upgrade level. Generally speaking, the upgrade effect is increased by a number of +3.

Based on the item's base level and upgrade path, the iLevel of the upgraded item will also change. For instance the weapon that has been upgraded from a unique or rare to an exceptional item will be able to gain the enhanced defense of the new base item type.
