BMW Ghost Immobiliser

The Ghost utilizes the CAN data bus to communicate with your vehicle. This prevents thieves from replacing the ECU or adding new locks to bypass the security system.

Like other immobilisers, The Ghost is different from other immobilisers. Ghost doesn't use LED indications or key fobs. Instead, it uses the buttons on your vehicle to allow you to select a unique disarm sequence that only you are aware of.

Stop & Start

If you've been in a BMW or utilized its stop-start feature, you might have noticed that the engine continues to run for about 30 seconds after you release the brake pedal. The BMW engine management system continues to watch the vehicle for a signal emanating from the ignition key. If it detects this the vehicle will continue to operate. The Autowatch 2 Ghost immobiliser prevents this from happening by stopping the car when you push a button sequence.

Our BMW ghost 11 immobiliser immobiliser, which is a next-generation device, does not require cutting OEM wires or add keys or alarms that are made by an aftermarket company. It is connected to the BMW CAN data network and is programmed with an unique PIN code that can be accessed by buttons in your car. This allows you to enter a specific key push sequence that is not available in the usual media menus, such as volume up/down and source, cruise control or air conditioning on and stops your car from starting until the sequence is entered. The PIN can range between 4 and 20 numbers, so it is extremely difficult for thieves to determine or crack.

In addition to this we can also add a service / valet mode to the system, this is activated when the car is being serviced to ensure that the Ghost remains hidden from the garage. This can be done by pressing the service button on your infotainment device 5 times (the system will flash to confirm this) and when you return the Ghost will automatically arm again.

Service / Valet Mode

The Ghost is a top-of-the-line immobiliser that is designed to protect your vehicle from being taken by key cloning or hacking. It uses the factory buttons on your vehicle to generate an individual sequence of pushes that only you know. It is similar to the pin code security of your mobile phone. It's incredibly discreet and quiet and stopping even the most zealous thieves from ever trying!

When parked at home or in the event of a meet and greet the Ghost can be set to service mode. This allows you to start your car using your keys normally, but stops the engine from being started again unless the proper code is entered. This is ideal for customers who must transfer their vehicles to valet services or trusted family members and friends. This lets you bring your vehicle to the garage for servicing and maintenance, etc. without fearing that it will be altered by a mechanic while you are waiting.

Once the service / valet mode is enabled, it will block your BMW from being able to be driven once started, this prevents anyone from attempting to test drive it whilst you are away. Once you return it will return to normal, preventing your vehicle from being damaged or stolen again.

Anti-Hijack

With the advent of high-tech thieves becoming increasingly advanced, the security technology is continuing to evolve, this is why ghost 2 immobiliser problems has developed this discreet and discreet immobiliser. It is designed to prevent thieves from adding a new key or replacing the ECU in order to start your car and drive it away. Ghost connects to your CAN network, and uses buttons on your vehicle to create a unique push-sequence that must be entered before your engine can be started.

Once the anti-hijacking mode is activated and the engine is restarted, any attempt to restart the engine will be blocked. The system will sharpen the horn and flash the indicators. It will also stall the vehicle if the code is not found. By entering your push sequence, or entering service mode, you can cancel the Anti-Hijack feature. This allows your vehicle to temporarily start without entering a PIN.

If you own a GPS device that is connected to your BMW and you want to utilize it to disable the Anti-Hijack function so that you can continue to use your navigation system while the vehicle is parked. You can also use your smart-phone to control the anti theft feature and other functions.

Remote Control

We can connect the Ghost device with your mobile application to allow remote control of keyless start and go functionality. This is helpful if you have to go somewhere else and valet or mechanic need to start your car. The system will allow you to turn the car on, select drive and leave service mode without having your key fobs. You can also track your vehicle on the map in real-time using your smartphone.

The Ghost can be positioned under the dashboard or within the center console. It is completely hidden and tamperproof and doesn't require any extra wiring. The device is connected to the vehicle's CAN Data Network (similar to an Ethernet cable) and a personal PIN code is inserted into it. This pin code has to be entered prior to the engine starting. This stops thieves from using a cloned key or replacing the ECU to disable this system.

If the vehicle is stolen and the Ghost will go into a service mode and shut down all functions unless the PIN code is entered or you can use the mobile app to disable it. This feature was created to protect your vehicle from high-tech thieves who employ relay boxes to take it. It also prevents thieves from being able to use their mobile phone to activate your sat nav or MP3 player to track your vehicle!

Ghost can also stop the 'Relay Style Frequency Amplifier'. This is the most popular method of stealing a vehicle with a keyfob which has been duplicated or stolen through hacking. Ghost allows you to prevent this kind of theft by installing a device known as Secure-A Key in your vehicle. The device is installed in the key fob of your car and disconnects its battery after a few inactive minutes. This can be accomplished using the most modern PKE keys.
