It was a bit shaky when it came across longer-pile carpets, and some long, thick piles of dried-on debris.

The S1 Pro is ready to be used right straight out of the box and it requires only an easy mapping session to learn about your home. Once that's done the map is displayed in the app and rooms can be added or merged when needed. You can set virtual boundaries, as well as no-go or no-mop zones if there's something you do not want the robot to get into.
