If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mops then this is the model to go for. It's smaller than other options, making it easier to maneuver into tight spaces or under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 minutes when cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery mid-clean.

It is very quick and does a great job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in one go. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to remove dirt as well as pet hair and poop easily. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the double side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency is less impressive, though not by much. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms extend out a bit more than other robots, which can be helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to scoop up larger pieces of debris, such as books and toys that have been damaged.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It doesn't make the same volume of sound while vacuuming or mopping and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It's easy to install and is effective, but it's something you'll need to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum for the sole purpose of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it an ideal option for homeowners looking for a highly effective, versatile, and customizable cleaning machine.

The device comes with a powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map your home and detect furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean effectively and intelligently. This results in an effective, consistent cleaning that is also quite quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. These include corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach spots. The side brush can be stretched out to extend to the floor, close to the walls or other fixtures. In addition the mop pads are able to be washed and dried to prevent build-up and reduce the odors.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop (writes in the official Expertfile blog) which means it can handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot comes with two modules: a dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping system with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of position. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming, but it does mean you don't need to worry about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank of water.

Our test subjects discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature is its precise floorplan map, which it utilizes when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at picking up hair of pets. It was able to collect some of the hair that our cats shed, and even got into the corners and crevices of our stairs, where other robots struggled. The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it does have some unique features which are worth a look. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its huge dock that doubles as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning, and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically emptys.

The base has a couple of buttons for control that let you manually start cleaning tasks or recall the robot, or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are concerned about their children messing around with the vacuum.

Like other robotic cleaner and mop vacuums the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni will sometimes get so entangled with an obstruction, such as a power cord draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and stops working until you manually free it. This was a rare incident, but frustrating nonetheless, since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert in its application.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll have to manually swap between the two, which isn't an issue except for the fact that the mopping pads aren't washed and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.

On the positive side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a major change from the utilitarian all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing view in a market which is dominated by clunky boxy models.
